Ok, so as some of you know I have a twin turbo kit going on my SRT10 Coupe. I had made a decision to go with a set of Hoosier R6's on all four corners in stock sizes. However, after reading some reviews I was given a moment of pause. From what I read these tires are very "loose" until warm and do not behave at all when they are "cold". My question is this, during normal street driving, will these tires ever get up to temp for them to work or will they always be "cold" and never bite? I'd love to hear from guys who has driven on them. Thanks

Bit off subject. I have an srt10 coupe, same color as yours with silver stripe. I like the look of your black rims. Might you have any pics, you can post that shows them better than just your avatar.

Tough call- from a temp standpoint they are softer then Cups and PS2 . While they do take time to heat up they still stick fine above 65 degrees after 5 min of driving on the street. Under that they need more temp and therefore require more driving time

I am not a fan of R6's on the street. If you get caught in the rain they can be very tricky to say the least on the street. Also you being in MD if you want to take it out on a colder morning they can be slick. I also would be afraid of picking up every nail and screw on the road. They are so sticky they become magnets for debris. I actually drove some rally races on the street using theA6 and they were awesome since we had no practice laps to warm our tires. (wouldn’t recommend them for everyday)I think the Cups would be a great intermediate tire for you. Just watch out under 50-55 degrees with those as well. Also get ready to replace them quickly , I am on my 3 set in 7,000 miles.

I appreciate the feedback. I never take my car out in the rain so that's not an issue, unless I get caught out in a shower, at which point I would either pull over and wait it out or drive VERY carefully. lol. Not concerned about the tread life, I know they are super soft. I just want traction, and with 900hp to 1200hp I need all the help I can get. :D
