What would you think of a VCA Only section?

There has always been alot of debate about who should have rights to post here and who shouldnt. Some people have expressed an interest in a "VCA ONLY" membership; but that leave out alot of would-be owners from getting input from this site.

But what if there was a restricted section for VCA Members Only - would that be something people would want to see?

Just looking for feedback.

I love being a VCA member and value the advice, experience, input, and opinions of VCA members highly.

But, to me, a VCA only section would be just another place you had to check regularly for good info. I think non-members have probably posted and benefitted from information on the board equally.

I would hate to think that a safety issue posted in a VCA only section was missed by a non member or someone waiting for their membership just after purchasing a Viper that resulted in an injury or vehicle damage.

Just my .02,

Jeff

No.

Instead, how about an adults only area? That way Michael can post more of the EB girls.

And people that want to sell rear 4" exhausts tips can post there too. (I think that was what he was selling?)

I think the inherent problem is that this would leave both the main discussion board and the "VCA" board lacking. They would probably have the same content, but divided by two. While you know to look for timeslips in the Racing/Timeslips/Dyno Sheets forum, what happens when a VCA member posts a solution to the "check engine" light for those '00's and '01's with headers? Do you go to both the VCA and non-VCA forums? Might be more confusing than it is worth. I would also echo the others: New and potential owners post some excellent thoughts and questions on this board. What happens to them?

Just my thoughts...

I second that NO vote! I'm not into the whole Country Club mentality and I'm not a VCA member so I'm admittedly biased. There are plenty of Non-VCA Viper owners and "interested" non-owners that frequent this site because there is a welcoming aire that prevails.

One of the best aspects is that we get some mixed views thrown into the fray. It seems that most of the differing views come from non VCAers, as they have an "outside" perspective.

Excellent feedback. We are simply discussing ideas on how to make the board more enjoyable to the people who come here. Getting feedback is a very important part of the process.

Thanks!

Being a visitor to the Board, who lives outside of the USA I vote no, of course.
I can not see what it would benefit me to be a member of VCA as I am never in the US, but I have contributed to the site and I visit it regurlary. I would feel left out it there was any change!

This was a HUGE issue several months ago...The overwhelming majority said NO. Look in the "Board Site Suggestions" area to check if that thread is still there...90+ replies. I vote NO as well.
