Has anyone else had this problem?

My passenger side window doesn't get below the convertible top when you shut the door. It drops a 1/4 inch when you activate the handle, but needs to drop about 1/2 inch to clear the top. The result is that the window hits the outside of the top and the door doesn't close properly.

I'm thinking that a change to the window programming would be the quickest fix, just programming the ecm to drop the window an extra 1/4 inch. Called the dealer, and they don't know what to do. Said they can't reprogram the ecm themselves.

Any one out there have any similar experiences?

Mine has done it since day 1. I have to tell people to close the door by pushing on the glass when outside the car, and lowering the window a nudge when inside. Embarrassing. I agree with the programming change. Problem is, my dealer wanted to 'adjust the softtop'. I won't let them touch it. The more you adjust the top, the window adjusts itself to match it!
My final solution was to put a strip of 3M bumpon (1/16 thick self-adhesive rubber) up in the top channel. Works great.
Bad thing: Someone else closes the passenger door and you forget to check it then wash the car.... Oh what a mess on my suede!

Where do you buy this 3M bumpon stuff? Hardware store?

Thanks

Kai,
There were lots of posts of this issue last year when the first cars where coming out. Check back for all of the details but my car used to have the same problem. I bet it hasn't happened to me in almost a year. Hopefully the old posts will help.
