I am thinking about doing 20% tint all around. The darkest I had so far in my other cars was 35%. Is 20% too dark at night? I wanted 20% so I can hide my stereo equipment in the trunk (GTS). I guess I can do 35% front windows and 20% in the back but don't want a mismatched look.

Thank you

you should be fine with 20%...35% is too light, and wont hide your stereo too well

i have 5% on my car and backing up can be tough, go with the 20

dont mix and match, go the same all around, i think it looks better

I had 5% on & it was too dark. It took away from car's appearance. I went with 20% & it looks way better. IMO. :smirk:

Do whatever is legal in your state (i.e. ~27%) There is nothing worse than having to scrap it off on the side of the road due to some officer having a bad day. I do recommend tinting the rear as dark as legal. It helps when a truck or higher than average car pulls up behind you at a stop light at night.

From a person who has 20% onyx tint... i think it looks pretty good, and at first i thoght it was pretty dark. However, its def not dark enough to cover up ur stereo. I just spent about 3 grand myself in subs and amps, so i might have to do darker myself.... or get a trunk cover...?

20% should be pretty good for covering up the stereo, unless the speakers are very close to the window. I had a Daytona and an Eclipse with subs and 20% tint and never had a problem.

Agreed 35% is way too light and 5% is too dangerous. 20% is a great medium. I'm planning on doing 20% within the next month.

I just did 20% on the rear and 30% on the fronts and like it. I think any darker up front would be difficult to see the x-mas tree at night.

And it doesn't look like two different shades of tint at all. 20% up front would be the absolute max and you will give up some night time visibility. The stock Viper headlights are bad enough without adding to the problem.
