Won't downshift from 6th to 5th?? 96 GTS

Won\'t downshift from 6th to 5th?? 96 GTS

Rest of the trans works fine. Up shifts and down shifts from 5th to 4th and down. But coming from 6th to 5th it's a brick wall, have to put it in 4th. This happen to anyone else? Could it have anything to do with the electrical lockout for Reverse?

Had the exact same thing on my 97 GTS. Transmission was replaced under warranty. They did not tell me specifically what had gone wrong with it.
