Our VOI 10 Club Logo

Hi guys,

I can't wait until August for VOI 10 ... We still have 6 feet of snow in the house entrance. No way to take the Viper out for a ride. So I had a lot of time available over this week-end to think about VOI 10. I did a couple of drawing in Photoshop for our club logo that we will put on our shirts. This is one of the logos that I liked the most. This is not the final version. I am not happy with the window curve.

What do you think ?

There's a few things off, the quarter panel ****, backglass should be convex rather than concave, hood sweeps too far back from a-pillar, etc.. but not to sound like a ****, I'd be glad to give some new lines for shirt logo.

Here's something I scratched up w/a pencil for a Porsche fan last night, took a couple hours..

:)

Very nice your Porsche.
The Logo is for embroiling.
There are some limitation due the precision.

You are right regarding the window !
Thanks for the precision. I will try to fix it.

Your help is very well come !

Within a couple hours :omg:?? Practice makes perfect I guess.. did you do that freehand or did you use a grid pattern over a picture and copied that onto the paper?
I'm not doing too shabby on drawing myself but I need a few pointers on how to take things up in drawing such detailed stuff. Would REALLY like to learn how to do it freehand in the end but how do I get to that point?

Can't get enough of that 'Canadian Club':eater:(didn't se a drinker)LOL

Coincidently CC is across the river from Detoit, lots of history there on that border for those to spot during the VOI visit.

The site of the big Ford strike was just down the road from CC, you can still see the church today, I took the other pics a couple years ago..

ITV - I did toss a couple reference lines across the pic, but the hardest I find to accomplish are the wheels, they are so sensitive for the perspective. Drawing the spindle axis and ovals for the rim edges, hub center, and it's tough to show action, the wheel spinning. I try to avoid lines (hard line edge profiles of a shape), more just side scrubbing with the pencil and to simulate reflections wherever possible (mirror, wing posts, antenna, wiper, etc..), and always tricky to draw headlights, as in these pics. I'm not an expert, somebody may be better here, it's just a hobby.
