Gen V ACR Stereo

Has anyone installed the 18 speaker system on a Gen V ACR? Love the sound of the car but some times tunes would be nice. Factory speaker count is maybe 2?

I’ve been searching for hours trying to figure out what to buy. I pulled the two cover plates behind the passenger seat and it seems the wire harness is all set for the speakers?

First post on here so I hope I did this right!

I did all of this earlier this year on my 2016. All the wiring is there, you just have to install all the parts and have the dealer activate the amp. There is a post on that somewhere too, as they probably don't know how to do it.

Activating the system is critical. If you install everything and try to use it, the body controller will fail.
There is also some wiring that needs to be switched.

Dan - Do you have any thoughts on what I should request when going to the dealer? Did you know what wiring needs to be switched?

Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to spell out what you had to purchase!

How is the sound with all the speakers? Do the speakers ehind the seats come witha cover of some sort? Not likely I will ever drive this car in the rain but if you did, seems like the speakers would get wet being exposed to the under side of the car?

Was there a factory location and hook up for the amp?

I do believe there's a wiring jumper you have to disconnect in the dash below the steering wheel as well. But my memory is really fuzzy on it.
