We are aiming to have a production version of the controller by year end coupled with the initial Paxton design following very soon after, perhaps even before. I hope to be shipping packages Spring '14. We are then going to focus on the Upgrade version as soon as we have a development volunteer...
Haha, while I agree from a sound perspective, the tuning hassles and changes in drivability are not for everyone.
Big bolt-on hassle-less horsepower increases however, certainly are :headbang:
That being said......... nothing would stop anyone from combining the two :D
After the dust settles on the Paxton/tuning, we will move into the NA area. Yes, we have plans to offer modified Gen-4 cam components. However, there are critical considerations that need to be made regarding Gen-4 valvetrain, which we will get into when the time comes.
Exhaust burble is a combination of mid/deep vacuum timing being left low, combined with over-run fueling being left active rather than shut off. That's no big deal to add or delete if you wanted to.
I think it speaks volumes about you that your first inclination is that I was being a "dick" rather than just quickly stating the obvious. Then you jump to attack me, rather than keeping your mouth shut and helping the guy. Unlike yourself, I actually have helped COUNTLESS people with these TPMS...
LOL. I have answered these TPMS questions more times than I can count. Read the other TPMS threads, or ask a direct question. Bringing a 6 year old thread to the top isnt going to net a response from the OP.
This project has taken numerous turns since it started. All I will say is that anybody who is on the fence buying ANY kind of Gen-4 engine management system... will probably hang themselves if they jump the gun on what we are working on right now.
I apologize for the secrecy- but it will all be...
RB1 is a direct drop in. However, you will surely be less than impressed with its functionality. It is antiquated to say the least.
We also offer the MyGig conversion:
Hey guys,
I am looking to get my hands on a few ECU's for fitment mock-up, connector layouts, etc.
Does anyone have any OE Gen-4 ECUs laying around, or Mopar Gen-4 ECUs for that matter? Either will suffice.
Please PM or E-mail me with what you have.
Just FYI, you have zero chance of finding a Gen-4 under 50K without a bazillion miles on it, and honestly an 06 is pushing it too for a lower mile car, even a Vert. For the 40-50K range, you will be in the "average" category with regard to condition/miles. A super low mile perfect example will...
All I will say at this point is... we have not given up on this. If we come up with a better solution- we will certainly offer it. I am not out of ideas yet!
No, the Paxton system would be left in place. As long as you keep it <3K and your foot off the gas, the Paxton will not "do" anything...
Hello,
Perhaps I should clarify a bit:
-The initial development is for fitment purposes and trying to keep the Venom Controller as happy as possible on the final plug and play product. The actual basic design layout has already been done in another form and functionally tested- it works. Its...
I had a new idea today... and it didn't even hurt that much :lmao:
If I can make it work, it will make my previous take on this solution all but archaic by comparison- I see some absolutely incredible potential with this latest iteration. Stay tuned.
That being said... who has Gen-4 that...
Viper Grenade, PLEASE go to another tuner. You are exactly the kind of explosively ridiculous customer I do not need. You might want to look up the definition of the term "hypocrite". On one hand, you are saying how highly I think of myself... and on the other, trying to explain to me how highly...
Just an FYI, I can get my hands on new 1996 and possibly 1997 computers, no VIN entered. If you desired to do so, we can sell it w/SCT to flash it into the EXACT ECU you have right now if it is a differing software version.
Note: This is assuming that 1997 ECU's are currently not available...
The motor nearly always is the cause of the resistor failure. They get water in them, rust inside, and then stick. When they stick, the resistor bar pops.
Two points:
-Generally, replace them together.
-Spray the inside of the motor with a light oil.
-After car has been stored for a while...
While I have yet to prove this given that nobody has built a stock engine car with a big name EMS to my knowledge, given the results we have had on stock head Gen-4 Conversions with cam profiles that would be close what could be done with a G4... I think its just a matter of time before it can...
Hi Guys, please check out this thread:

OK guys, here it is.
If I am going to do this, I need to get an idea of the demand. This is no easy task, and there is going to substantial manufacturing costs no matter which direction I choose to go. The goal here is to open up the Gen-4 tuning options with something reasonable, as...
