    Yet another overheat issue HELP

Mine always does this during stop and go, not in motion running. The Fans come on and it never goes above, but it goes to that spot and then comes down when I get moving. It has done it like this since I've owned it and I've replaced the entire cooling system as maint. I would consider it...

    Yet another overheat issue HELP

Bottoming out sounds interesting. Did a fastener puncture the bumper reservoir? Could it draw air into the system once the tank is empty? I've heard of the bumper tank getting punctured by the front bumper by scrapes on the front bumper. Just a thought.

    Drivers door micro switches

So the 3 prongs that you wire to are coved by a small cover, you have to pop the cover to see how its wired. The switches come as shown, and you need to bottom covers to cover up the soldered area. Hope that Helps.

    Drivers door micro switches

So When I first got my car, I had a bad switch on the passenger side door. This is what I ordered and its been working for almost 5 years. Only difference is color is white instead of black. https://www.tme.com/us/en-us/details/v4lst7/microswitches-snap-action/saia-burgess/v4lst7ul/ I also...

1997 Dodge Viper GTS For Sale in Massachusetts - Custom Purple Paint - Rebuilt Title - $56k

IMO its a shame it was repainted. I would think B/W seems to be what is most desirable in Gen 2s, but I am biased a little. Car does look very nice and Good Luck man.

American Racing Headers on a 99

Mine came with a Corsa, so I'm biased. The idle is fantastic, and its not too loud for me. I also have a corsa on my C5Z06 and it sounds fantastic on that car as well. No drone on either setup, which I hear is a real problem on some other systems.

    96-97 Window Switch

Thought I would post this to help out. 98+ came with the more common window switch, but 96-97 had a different one. I was able to locate that the switch is the same used in 1990 Dodge Caravan. Found it here...

Shift knob replacement on gen 1 car?

So I noticed the shift knob was way too low for my liking. I wanted it elevated some. Found these and they work absolutely perfect. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5TJT8X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Napa Green Antifreeze ok? 1997 Viper…

I think its recommended to use Mopar Orange. After a lot of research, my 96 has run Dex Cool for the last 5 years. It get changed out every other year, and is cheap and readily available. Dex Cool seems to be GM's version of Mopar Orange. The corrosion possibility has scared me away from...

Need Power Steering and Brake Fluid recommendations

You are prob right as I am pretty sure both of my T56's have carbon blockers. I know the early Vettes and Vipers had some paper? I have heard to definitely do not run synthetic fluid in cars with paper blockers, but I could be wrong. Either way I have 80k on the Vette's rebuild due to 2nd...

Need Power Steering and Brake Fluid recommendations

You're probably going to get a lot of different opinions. So get ready for it. Opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one. He's what I'm running in 5 years of ownership: Oil - Mobile 1 0-40 - recommended weight in new Vipers, and IMO the best fit in the older guys as well. I like the...
