I would rather have a 96/97.. Forged motor trumps ABS (plus it has the cool B/W color). Don't care about ABS, I don't even drive my car in the rain.- daveg

Take timing cover off and look at timing!!! I would not stick another rebuilt head on that thing until you straighten away your issue!!! Obviously....- daveg

Asking vs Getting
KBB is on crack. A very very clean (I wouldn't buy a 96 any other way) no history what's so ever 96 is around 40k. My 96 is 100% stock (except for a cat back Borla) with the original tires still on it.- daveg

Keeping the juice flowing
Simple way to get the answer. Put a meter on the jump posts and fire the car up.. At idle, measure the voltage to see if its mid 13's- daveg

Keeping the juice flowing
Its not a Prius, you don't have to drive / brake it to charge battery... Let it idle so it gets to operating temp and then idles for another 10 minutes... This will keep the battery charged and the seal supple...- daveg

Do you have the luxury to start it every 2 weeks and let it run a while? There could be up to 3 weeks (during the summer) that I don't even start my car and I have no problems...- daveg

Crank bolt pin kit recommended on stock engines?
If worried, I put a white paint mark on my Bolt / Balancer and inspect at oil changes / general inspections for mark misalignment.- daveg

I guess but I could care less about ABS... I do care about forged so I don't need to touch a thing, just need to enjoy it... This is just my opinion though... Heck my 3000 GT doesn't even have ABS and its my DD..- daveg

I agree with the 20k miles. I personally like the 96 to 99 cars (I own a 96 GTS) because of the motor. Cant go wrong any Gen II GTS though........- daveg
