    Got a 2004 with a problem

Looks like there is a 2nd thread on this same exact car / issue? http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/650213-Got-A-2004-Viper-and-need-help-all-ready?p=3029594#post3029594

Got A 2004 Viper and need help all ready

Late to the party, but..... I am NOT one to hawk MoPar parts for that reason alone......but I do know that several new Autozone / aftermarket gas caps have failed, and NOT maintained the vacuum needed to satisfy the emissions requirements. You really gotta clickity-click-click a new cap down a...

    Laguna Seca Sound Limti

Viper-X and Fireball...... you guys MAY have met at Miller....Dan was tranny-challenged but Greg was passing everything in sight! Those 2-3 DB insertion cones are a relatively easy install, and could even be at the tip elbow alone....they work better if inserted further forward. The...

    Laguna Seca Sound Limti

Greg I was there for the ACR-X debut and ACR Record Run, and we had no issues with the limit, which was 93 at that time. But Atmo on any given day can account for 2-3 db and can make a car fail in the AM that would pass in the PM, or a day later /sooner. I love Thunderhill.....I have only...

    3:54 in Gen IV?

PAUL......I have always considered gears as the BEST bang-4-buck, as YOU know firsthand. But don't do a 3:54 (GM ratio) ........while it fits, and is cheaper, the metallurgy will NOT handle the torque of a Gen 4. Go with a shot-peen-hardened-USA-made Spicer-Dana 3:55. If you are worried...

Need some emergency emergency brake help

REMINDER: emergency brake help SRT-10 Owners, an off-season reminder to crawl under and check Your INNER SRT10 E-brake pads and the INNER face of your rear SRT10 rotors. Since this thread 2 mos ago, I have seen 4 more owners with this hidden-problem, who have ruined, or severly-worn their...

    As always thanks again!!!!

Lance..... Yet another incident of many of "Inner SRT10 E-Brake Pad Dragging." Owners should take 3 minutes and investigate the 'hidden' inside of their rear rottors. Glad you caught it before the rotors were ruined. JonB ~~~:<~

corroded gas cover on 98 GTS

The cap assy comes off easily enuf... MGW makes a great replacement fuel cap assy, waaay less $$ than OE...and with a colored Pete logo, and great instructions on how to swap out. Or, you can have the cap refinished IF the OE hinge mechanism is not rotted out. JonB ~~~~:<~

Time to sell the Gen 1? Ya'lls Thoughts?

Seperate the accessories, lower the price. Give the potential buyers an 'options package' so sell the bits later if not wanted. I sold my 1994 Black in July 2011, 2 tops, oe and VM windows, new tires, stock, 76K miles, but looked like 50k miles. Sills and nose scuffs and mild wheel scuffs...

    Brake rotor question

I suspect pad issue. You say EBC Greens? OLD? as in 2006 era Kevlar? Greens were reformulated in 2007, and "not as good" after that, So I suspect a non-homogenous pad compound. A "Pad Problem" that will get worse, and must be watched. If you change pads alone, re-surface the rotors...

    Motor Trend- "Great Snakes" Article

Oldie-But-Goodie, THANKS for the reminder. One of my favorite anecdotes was the fact that everyone who landed a job at Team Viper was really in "career limbo" for the duration, and probably out of work if the Viper did not succeed. Supplier issues (like the trans) made it kind of shaky...

Classic Vipers-- I don't understand it

All you need is time...... The '53 vette and the '92 Viper are probably a valid comparison. The kid who doodled and drooled over the Viper needs to reach RETIREMENT age before there will be any appropriate pricing of the rare '92. Same as happened to Sixties Cobras. The GT-2 spiked...

    "Annual" oil changes..?

The manual says you are OK, but 4000 miles is too long for me..... 2500-3000 miles. Even SOONER on tracked cars. The corrosive burned fuel deposits 'age' the oil, even if not a lot of miles are on it..... FloGor Where AR U ?

    2002 GTS Final Edition #94 w/only 1000 miles in Mint/Showroom condition

I was ble to put the original great-guy owner, +John Gastman, + Rob together on this car, that I have known it since day 1. I offered to 'vouch' for the car, then and now, and have no idea how floor-mats got involved! Did this car sell yet? A beauty....

2006 FE Coupe to be delivered today 1st Viper

CONGRATS! One of my favories too.... RunFlats are 'treacherous' when old and cold....even with a lot of tread, so be safe. [Dont be like that Lambo-winner!!] Learn how to put the battery in SLEEP MODE or get a Battery Tender..... Check out this thread, and add yourself...

    Well that's it for Captree

How 'secure' do they require? You can put the car in neutral, pull on the snap-on braketed plate evenly, and PULL the car forward with the bracket. The rubber barbs dont give.....the FASCIA crosshairs will bend! One vette-owner being a pud? If an owner is being a d1ck, the cops are going...
