My point was that the electrical system in these vipers can get fishy and time consuming to negotiate. As for you issue, the posts above indicate that it might be the fuse...easy check. Good luck.

As my signature states, I have 19/20s on my '01. Mine do not rub. I highly doubt that 22's would fit unless you did some fabrication to the inner wheel wells.

It does look like battery mat material, but it would have been on the bottom of the battery tray, under the weight of the battery and wouldn't have just fallen out. Did it all just fall out or did you wipe some of it out of the rear fascia area? I'm guessing a piece of something, battery mat...
Steve M has the exact right attitude. I love SSG and wouldn't care what anybody else thought about it...although VVO is also sweet...seems like a win/win choice to me.
