    Drag Radials

They are out in 16" for sure. Fuelman had them on his car in Gainesville 2 weeks ago. He liked them. I know he walked off and left me in 1st and 2nd gear on my pilots. Mike your car makes great power, more than mine I think. I was trapping upwards of 134 mph and I think you were right in...

    Belanger Headers and S/C

Larry, are you getting old, you tuned my creampuff to 653 hp and 705 Tq on a 5 lb pulley!! Oops, that was with your Nitrous Kit with a 50-75 Hp shot. Anyways without the nitrous and in Florida's heat and humidty the car made 565 hp and 605 Tq, under the Macedo wand.

    Congrats John Hollandsworth! 701rwhp/702rwtq

Sweet, this car has a different and deep sound to it. I think Larry's new cam profile and heads are gonna be a winner. Shelby I have a picture of the air box as my car was one of the first ones to get the box. I don't know how to post pictures, but will email it to someone that does. The box...

Roe vs. Paxton/Vortech superchargers. Which is better?

It seems that there are always more Roe Superchargers at the V10 nationals more of them drive to and from the track as well, tuned properly they make great reliable power at a great price. 1/4 mile racing on street tires I have giving some of the paxton guys a real run unitl the 1000 ft mark...

First launch on MT Drag Radials

I upgraded to M2 heavy duty shafts when I did the supercharger. I broke one halfshaft last year when I had one tire wet and another dry, the dry tire hooked and snapped the shaft, driver error. They have held up very well, if you are gonna launchg above 3500 rpm I would suggest anyone upgrade...

First launch on MT Drag Radials

Edgar, I bought them from Jegs. Just go to Jegs.com and look under tires. They had all the sizes. I did run them with skinnies up front in the 1/4 mile and the stock Michelins up front on the street. They did fine with both, I have not raced them with the Michelins up front, but I suspect...

First launch on MT Drag Radials

FE, I think they would be ok for short trips back and forth to the track. I drove about 10-15 miles the other night on them, front steering is very sensitive. I would not suggest taking any turns fast, but I throttled up pretty hard onto the highway and they were fine. I cruised at about 70...

First launch on MT Drag Radials

FE 065, I am running a CCW 16x10 Rim with the MT Drag Radial. For the BFGs' I have a CCW 18X13. I agree, the sidewall is much thicker on the 16" tire over the 17" or 18" Hopefully next time out I will get even better results, I'll try 15 PSI in the tires and see how that works.

First launch on MT Drag Radials

They are the 255x50R16 ET Street Radials. I ran them at 24 psi first, then 20 psi later, however I found that my air gauge may be broken so those numbers may not be exact. I have as stock creampuff motor, thus I am only running 5 PSI pulley on the Roe with a 50 shot of nitrous to cool down the...

First launch on MT Drag Radials

Tried out a set of the new Mickey Thompson Drag Radials Saturday at the Central Florida VCA drag race. My first two launches with the tires still slick with that factory new greasy feeling were 1.67 and 1.62 60 foot. Gainesville is a great track but for some reason they were conserving water...

    2000 Vipers are no creampuffs

My creampuffer went 12.17 @ 117 mph bone stock. With roller rockers (to get a little of the cam action of the 96-99 cars) and a catback the car went 11.89 at 121 mph. With a 5 PSI Roe blower and tuning by Macedo the car went 11.03 at 128 mph, no headers at this point. The car has gone 10.8 on...

VCA DRAG RACING AT GAINESVILLE SAT. OCT. 9

Yeah I grew up in Gainesville and realized that the true Florida University resides in the Capital of our state. Anyway Cudaman I am sure that you were more comfortable in a school of mostly boyz. On the other hand, I was more geared toward going to a University where the chicks were 2 to 1...

Larry Macedo gets taken down by a Chevy

Hey, I recall that Chevy taking the Cudaman down one time at Bradenton also, just cause you only had one halfshaft, thats not important your 10.03 Viper should be able to run at least a 12.00 on one halfshaft..

Larry Macedo gets taken down by a Chevy

Sun Ra Kat, my first and true love has and will always be Mopar, however since MOPAR has not made a real muscle car since the last Cuda or Challenger RT rolled off the line in 1974, I have had to resort to Fords and Chevys. I consider the Viper more of a Super car than Muscle, as it will do a...

Larry Macedo gets taken down by a Chevy

Caught up with Larry in one of his most recent 800+ HP Vipers. He was putting break in miles on the car for one of his clients. Yes I was driving a Chevy, its a daily beater for me with 400 HP, I smoked him from a roll in 2nd gear, it was bad. All I saw was Yellaw in my rear view mirror. I...

[Huh, see people can catch up to you if you stop for gas!!!!! Ahh, grasshopper read the whole post, I did infer that they only caught you because you stopped, but I understand they blocked you in, just like on "Cops" on TV. I'm sure one of us would have bailed you out, maybe.
