17" Tire Help
Just checked their site, looks like 315x35x17 is the largest in 17s. Not sure how that will look, but I know they will hook and can handle the rain better then some drag radials.- fuelman

Do the Toyo R888s come in 17 inch sizes? I have had those on a Shelby GT500 making 600 at the wheels and they hooked well and also have enough groves to push through the rain and puddles.- fuelman

Is the SRT Viper an instant classic??
Interesting views, since I just seem to buy and never sell any cars (yes I have problem and I am seeking treatment) guess it doesn't really matter to me whether it becomes a classic or not, I would drive it to Alaska tomorrow if there was a good track there. Gen V & Challenger Hellcat
The Challenger will weigh in above 4000 lbs, even with the same HP, it won't beat a Viper, but I bet it is gonna do incredible burnouts...- fuelman

Hot Rod Power Tour 2014
I have done one segment, once. I was impressed with how well organized it was. I got in trouble though, apparently your not suppose to blow by the power tour official lead car at 160 mph. I am trying to make tail of the dragon, but I have a graduation to attend, so this could be an option.- fuelman

On the track time, normally in the late afternoon things thin out, so if you are truly a track rat, then hangout all day and you should be able to get a lot of runs. Some of my best vacations have been VOIs, and the way this one is shapping up, I think it is going to be one for the record books....- fuelman

sad news...viper plant shuttered until end June.
In 1992 the Viper became a true American Super Car following the GT40 and Cobra427, every generation has improved on the prior, the Gen 5 has solidified the Viper's place on the 21st century stage of super cars. If you drive one you will see.....- fuelman

Drove the TA all day today, 85F here today, interior super cold and side sills warm, but never hot. I am not sure what they did to keep tHem cool, but it works. I have a new adjective for the Gen V: "DAILY DRIVER!". Way to go SRT, home run.......- fuelman

Generally, as the afternoon wears on, many people head back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. I have gotten some fast laps near the end of the day, with minimal traffic and many runs. I must say the races were closer than I thought they would be. The F16s went with min fuel and did a full military power takeoff, less the after burners. I believe the early VOIs were open to all Viper owners. With the state of our Viper nation right now, it seemed only prudent to open it to all Viper owners. This is about having fun with your brethren Viper owners ad with the cars.- fuelman
