What the hell are you guys talking about?! Other than the stupid drive by wire lag, the gen 4 has more torque than thegen 2 all across the rpm range including down low at start! Just look at the graph you are posting as proof! If you want the Oh $hit feeling from a gen 4 then throw on some...
So what, every toy I've owned has been modded to hell and back because I love speed. But none of those cars were 120-150K! At this price point, the suspension has to work from the factory period! No excuses, no BS! The fact that the ride is mentioned in a negative way in every comparison...
I'm sure your 800hp go cart is far from stock ;) I'm not knocking the gen 2 guys, I owned one and loved it. It just cant compare to the new one in refinements and ride.
There's no doubt the gen 2 looks awesome, but are you seriously going to be happy driving that thing around after getting out of the gen 5? If all you are going to use it as sat night cruiser at 55mph then it's ok. But if you are going to go for early sunday morning drives on twisty mountain...
No regrets whatsoever going from a 02 FE to an 08 Vert. Like others have said, if you are patient, you will find a low mile 08 for mid 60s. I've driven both the gen 3 and 4 and the 4 wins hands down, unless you are going to mod heavily!
Other than it's cool to have a gen 2 next to the 5 in garage, I think it's a Huge mistake imo. I dont think you will like the ride and feel (cheapness) of the gen 2 when compared to the new one. Take that 40K you will save and use it for mods on the new one, and some private driving...
You guys got to be kidding, the days of a dodge or corvette owning the ring records are over! There's no comparison of the new hyper exotics coming out and the current bread of sports cars!
I have a set of 798 HREs for sale with barely used Michelin super sports..
