It doesn't have to cost a fortune. I was in the same situation. I had a very honest viper tech go through the car and inspect it with a fine tooth comb and tell me what needed to be done. Cost me $75 for the tech and changed what needed to be addressed. Most of the stuff you can do yourself and...
Re: Anyone have a Lift King lift ?
No offense Jim....but now I'm glad I live 2000 miles from you!!! Otherwise.....oh yeah....I'd be there for you buddy!!
Those lifts are friggin heavy!!
I like the steele/gray/graphite (whatever it is called). If you go with black then matted would be nice. If you put blue stripes (though it looks nice) I find it is like cloning an original as I think not that many Vipers originally came in that colour. If you sell it, you always have to...
Hi from Montreal...welcome to an awesome club. I know the cobra club is also a great group.
Just curious about the cobra you built.....what kit did you get and where? I tried importing a factory 5 built car and was not allowed to import it or the kit.
Thanks. John
Man...I love threads like this. You learn so much from those that have gone before you.
Bottlefed - Any chance you can document your entire build with pictures and descriptions? Even taking out the engine, etc. Sometimes even what appears to be a simple task can get complicated. Pictures can...
My battery finally died yesterday. Going to replace it with the same battery that is already in there since it lasted so long.
The battery is a Interstate megatron plus - MTP-78 with the terminals on the side. See link below.

"I have long hair, tattoos, and ride Harleys. I like loud, fast, rough and on the edge of imprisonment. That, to me, is the Viper. :headbang: It is what it is and it doesn't apologize for it."
Awesome!!! Best lines I have ever seen on the Viper!
Enjoying this thread Nate as it has great info though I am sorry as I can feel your frustration. What is the lastest update and what are you doing next to find the issue?
I changed the Pilot sports to new PS2's earlier last month. Love the grip of the new tires but the cars looks higher and less menacing now. I understand the PS2's are taller but didn't think it would change the stance and look that much.
How much taller are the PS2's? Can I get the original...
Which mounts did you get? OEM? Woodhouse?
I just changed mine and went with OEM because I heard the woodhouse though superior would vibrate more. The OEM mounts still vibrated and took about 500 miles to break in. Next time I'll do the woodhouse solution.
Do it myself. In Canadian dollars I pay approx $40 per 5 qt (2) plus $15 for oem filter. $95CDN or $86 US.
Dealers in my area charge $169 plus tax CDN to change oil. It's worth doing it yourself.......well.....until I have to take off that $##@! oil filter using jack stands.
