I do not recommend a leaf blower, electric or gas. The Air Force Master Blaster and/or the Blaster Sidekick are much better machines. They are HEPA filtered and heat the air. They also have a more focused nozzle, so the air goes where you want it. Leaf blowers are clumsy as well and I have...
I replaced the screws with dzus fasteners when I bought my car 4 years ago. Easy to do. There was a thread about this a few years ago. I think I have about $20 into it. You have to drill out the existing holes in the panel, very slightly, and drill and rivet in the springs into the tub...
I have an Autoform bar in my roadster. It's well made and install wasn't that hard. The waterfall was not as nice as I liked, but I wrapped it in suede. It might not matter as much in a coupe, but you see it in the roadster.
Glazes are great for filling swirls and hiding any imperfections, but they are not a cure to the problem. You want to correct the damage and maintain quality paint.
Iceman1 is correct in saying the swirls are caused by the towels. Any contact with your paint will cause swirling. One of the...
Sounds like Adam's Quick Sealant.
One thing to remember, waxes/sealants are not cleaning agents and are not designed to remove dirt. You should not be applying a sealant if there is dirt on your paint.
I've had multiple cases of tree sap, bubble gum and road tar brought to me when working shows. Being at a show is probably the most difficult time to try and repair cases like these, because you have a ton of people watching, it's usually really hot out, and you have a limited time to work and...
You should be able to polish that out. Take your time. It's a lot cheaper to buy some polishes than replace a factory headlight. Can you feel it with your fingernail?
One thing to remember is not to heat the plastic too much. You don't want to melt or stain the plastic.
Looks amazing! Saw your post on Adam's Forum! Now you need maintain the level of paint quality by using the proper wash techniques!
The Adam's Focus Pad Kit comes with an adaptor for the Porter Cable and works great on the PC. Remember to save your Porter Cable wrench!
If anyone needs...
The New Moton group are great to deal with. I love my Motons and would recommend them to anyone.
I agree with other posts, your car is at a good height. You don't want the Viper too low.
Best thing to do is clean them really well with a mild detergent, such as Adam's All Purpose Cleaner.
Next, treat them to Adam's Super VRT to restore the low gloss black sheen. Super VRT has a UV protectant and moisturizer so it will keep your plastic from fading. It is also waterproof...
Mequire's has no problem selling Made in China products so they can afford to sell at Walmart Prices. I bought an American made Viper and plan on using American made products to maintain it.
You're correct! Show starts at 2, but the lunch truck will be there at 12:00. People were asking when to be there and I would tell you 12 is early, 1pm is good.
Also, use a Waterless Wash to loosen up the deposit before washing, but definitely get it off as soon as possible. Claybar definitely works and I usually follow it up with Adam's Revive Polish, which contains paint cleansers.
Nick (Synergy) does first class work. Not familiar with the other suggestions, but I've seen Carmen's and Scott's cars and they've always looked real good.
The clinic starts at 2 and will probably end around 6-7.
I work a lot with Justin from Swan Creek Auto in Lambertville and he has the...
I would definitely wash it after a drive in the rain. When it rains, the water on the road stirs up all the dirt and then your tires sling it everywhere and the cars in front of you throw it in the air! Also, rain around these parts isn't exactly clean!
When it's cold out, I fill my wash bucket with 1oz Adam's Car Shampoo and a few inches of HOT water. I throw the clay in the water/shampoo and use it as lube. This also helps to soften the clay. Just did my truck a few weeks ago and it worked great.
One other thing I do is keep the bucket...
If you're all interested in the Turbo Stick, I'll throw it up tonight on special on our site. Check the Daily Specials Section.
UPDATE: Turbo Stick Daily Special has been added. Search for DSTURBO.
They are a little tricky to do. I clamp from the outside of the wheel, not the inside! Make sure to use plastic guards on the clamps as these are aluminum. Also clamp the inside (back) rim and mount the tire on the outside rim as you'll need the drop zone as these tires are wide!
The only piece of my interior I didn't do myself was the wheel. Shipped it out, was around $400. I have my factory wheel, perfect shape if you need. I bought a second wheel to ship out so I could still drive the car. My entire interior is suede. Not hard to do. Seats took 14hrs a piece...
I tried to make it happen in SLC last year, but there were about 4 other major events happening at the same time.
I've tried to make the Viper Days events in the last 4 years, but you always schedule them during other major events. I think VIO is a little more Eastern this year, so it...
