Had not thought about that. But that would be OK. I'm back in the Gen II fold and while the Gen IV is awesome, it's not a Gen II. Sorry ... but Gen IIs are sex on wheels!!
don't I get to know why? And who exactly is the moderator for this forum?
Don't I get an explanation?
Never happened to me before so I want to know why.
$3200 is not cheap but not outrageous. I bought a nice set of ACR wheels over 4 years ago for $3500 shipped.
Never dealt with this seller but definitely worth checking into. Plus you my be able to work a better deal. They look to be in nice shape.
Just my 2 cents.
Good explanation Dave. Now I know.
Do you happen to know if the 6-spoke Gen IV wheels (18/19) fit on an 01 GTS and what does that do to the accuracy of the speed? I already have 3.55s with a speedo calibration box.
You can buy a front frame section (front clip) for less than $2500. Probably looking at 1-2 days labor which includes cutting welding and undercoating. I think the frame could be repaired for under $5K. Plus buying quality used parts that Dave mentioned and I think you're looking at $20K-$25K to...
Exactly! You get what you pay for. I would never own either of those cars you mentioned. I have an 01 Sapphire ACR that is better shape than those.
Here's what I've observed (this is anecdotal): $65K for 08 (non-ACR), $75K for 09 (non-ACR); and $85K for 10 (non-ACR). Rule of thumb on pricing...
No kidding. There are plenty of folks who have first hand experience with ARH with their Gen IV and some of them have a Gen II too. I think a lot of people would be interested.
Ah now I see. I thought the Stryker heads started with stock castings. No wonder they're more.
I got a dyno sheet from the previous owner of my car and it was 470 rwhp, 505 rwtq. Not bad so far.
I've heard this before. Probably with the Stryker Heads - but what else?
So Matt, if you got 612 rwhp why is what Plum stated seem inflated? Not being a smart a** but I'm just trying to figure out what I can expect for $ spent.
So here are a few pictures Chuck ... they are older but car looks the same
Had the car several years and have done most of the mechanical. It's numbers matching non-OAI hood, non W-30 and bench seat car. Got it for a song and the body is rust free but the paint could stand to be re-freshened...
Wow Chuck my signature hasn't changed in years and this is a first - wanting to pics of the 442! I'm headin' off to work but I think I have some I took a few years back. I'll post later ...
Those are some awesome heads - probably won't go with those and 'settle' for 550-560 RWHP at about half the price. Not an indictment on GG heads (they are killer) but 10% more HP for twice the money doesn't inspire me. I'm going to put the rest on suspension and new tires. Hopefully I will get...
I'm definately leaning that way. Plus I love having all the power available right now. Plus I think going NA reduces the chance of grenaing your motor.
