i am not sure but nothing higher than maybe 2k.... i couldn't put my foot into it fully in 1st gear though without spinning then more spinning into 2nd.... i definately think with better launching, pefect shifting that a 11.5 is possible.
ya i was watching guys with drag cars that were on slicks and they were running in the 10's at same trap speed.... i just let it bang into the rev limiter in 3rd across the line.... the3rd run i didn't quite get there....
i only got 3 runs... place was way too crowded with racers.. and it wasn't nearly as warm as i was expecting so after sitting for 2 hours my quick burnout didn't warm up the sport cups.... first run was 2.135 60' with 11.954ET @ 125.32 (banging 3rd gear rev limiter)... second run about the same...
I just got back from Vegas but i went to see the Monster Truck thing... which was awesome.... I didn't really enjoy all the crowds, porn pamphlet idiots, etc...... TOSH was there but sold out.... I think Vegas is probably a great place for a few single dudes to act like assholes and pay to see...
thanks for the replies! I don't drive very far away from home in my car so i am not too concerned about rain driving.... sounds like i will save the $300 or so (over the Michelins) and go with the NT05's.... :)
I have these tires on my RX8.... of course the RX8 has zero torque.... but the Nitto's handle pretty well and i have over 10k miles on them...and they come in the proper sizes for my 2009 ACR..... they are about $300 cheaper than the Michilin Super Sports.....are the Michilins worth the $300...
from what i remember when my 09 ACR needed a new windsheild..... they are only available from Dodge... but Safelite sources it from Dodge and puts it in for a good bit cheaper than going to the dodge dealer. I think mine was $700ish... i paid out of pocket due to not wanting to have any more...
Re: ACR Guys with 275/35 fronts & 345/30 rear Michelin Super Sports... opintions plea
The cups are a bit scary here in the rust belt..... I think I may just go with the 275's and save the couple hundred dollars....... Thanks guys!
the fronts are 20mm narrower than stock but i am guessing with my typical street driving i won't notice. I can't drive on Sport Cups on days like today (low 20's in AM and going up to 30's but with some rain)...
just wanted to get some feedback from ACR guys running this combo...
o well.... i put the charger on at 2amp and left it on for a couple days.... car fired right up this morning.... when the motor is warm it seemed to be struggling to start a couple weeks ago.... i will see at lunch if it is the same or if the charger helped some... :)
it has been mostly parked for winter and was kinda hard to start... can i charge the battery off of that terminal under the hood? i looked in the manual but it just said to use that for jump starting... i was just going to put a charger on it...?
sorry for the dork noob question.
thanks
wouldn't shorter rear gear (ring and pinion i assume) be cheaper and as affective as the 10' trans?
Baxter told me $10k off of sticker on the '10 burnt orange that they have... that is not low enough to make me wanna swap.
nice video...What kind of lap times does the ACR X run at Road Atlanta?
We ran a 9 hour race in my Race prepped Honda S2000 on Toyo's and I did 1:37.XX... I imagine with the huge difference in speed on the back the Viper has to be in the high 1:2X's?
i with i could afford to gamble on not...
i got my 09 ACR (black with 1 red drivers stripe) a year ago from Baxter at $20k exactly off of the sticker, so i would think they would do better than that on one now..???
