im all sorted, the lock was stuck in the closed position thats why it wouldnt close at all, but now its fully adjusted so it pops open first time and no more slamming to get it to close either, just a gentle push...
im having the same issues, not popping and hard to close, slamming required so much that ive not even been able to close it tonight, and will have a better look tomorrow

a good trick for a clearer headlight is to remove the orange reflector in the side lights, and then replace the yellow'ie lamps for silver
and for Chuck it saves weight to :)
here's a pic of the diamond cut i got from pro car parts a few years ago, before i fitted the silver lamps, you can also paint the white plastic lamp holder silver if your really keen
they did years ago, it called the Bristol Fighter, supercar price at least !

it would be loads cheaper to source your own in the US, i was going to airmail a different banner out to The Wizard a couple of years ago but it was about $110 to post then there would be US import charges on top.

yea the first one is coming out the back of the printer at work, a fairly big peice of kit that takes 10ft high x 150ft long rolls of media and holds 32 litres of (process colours) ink, in this case i printed it onto a PVC similar to the material on curtain sided lorry's
