That sounds about right... Bolted on headers, cam, heads and tune mean 570+ RWHP on a Z06 - which I'm guessing this one had.
Aerodynamics would be about the same, weight would be about the same, gearing is similar, torque curves are close... Viper should have 560-570 RWHP... That...

The gearing is PERFECT with this motor and these turbos! Quite frankly, if the turbos were any smaller or if the gears were any shorter, then it would be completely uncontrollable. The *ONLY* thing I can see that I'm going to change is that I want another 500 RPM out of this motor before...

Additional duration wouldn't necessary cause an emissions fail with the properly sized catalytic converter. It's overlap that generally gets ya on emissions. :)

The car absolutely needs more power. Period.
However, the amount (and how you get it) is debatable based on whether you are a straight line or road race kinda guy!
I think one area they could easily improve on is the valvetrain. The camshaft is anemic!!! A little more duration (just a little)...

While I agree with you (and wouldn't hesitate to seriously harm an individual pulling that **** on my car), what if I'm in a movie or having dinner and can't see my car. What a PITA... Argh. Another idiosyncrasy to deal with regarding this car.
