    Yeah seriously, be careful. The Viper is not safe. ......That is what makes it so appealing to most of us. An instructor at a roadcourse is the best advice. Also, there aren't cops hassling you about the speed limit at the track.

    The dolphin is one thing, but that stupid flame job is just dumb. Repainting that car would raise the value of it. -even if it was just ghetto primer.

    Hmmmm... I am still using the OEM wires that are original to the car. I change the plugs every season, but haven't had any issues with the wires.

    Wow. 50 /55 is pushing the mechanical limits I think. This is like the limbo. -how slow can you go? 55 is normally a 1st gear speed. :D

    I feel stupid posting this, but I have gone as slow as 60 in 6th gear. The motor is at idle speed and just grumbles along. I have noticed 6th gear to be more suited to 160 though. The car still requires a downshift to 5th if you want to accelerate more.

    Check the ground cable where it connects to the frame. Even if it 'looks OK', take it off and make sure the connection is clean and tight.

    No, the stock 3.07 gearing is not for the dragstrip. Does good on the roadcourse though.

    Actually, the gas mileage is pretty good in these cars when you do that. It's the exact opposite at the racetrack.

    I cruise 6th all time. Even when going close to the speed limit. 1000/1100ish rpm at just above 65 or so. Not the greatest experience, but doesn't really hurt anything. The tranny doesn't care as much as the motor does. -not good for the bottom end of the motor to lug it hard. But for no-load...

    Yeah, do it up the way YOU like it. It's your car. Just don't paint some stupid dolphin on it. The entire Viper community has been disrupted by someone doing this.
