    Nice review, enjoyed a lot reading it! Being an owner of a RT/10 myself I can fully subscribe to what you are writing. Except... maybe... for your last comment. I doubt a Gen V will deliver the same feeling and experience like a Gen 1/2 Roadster ;-) It will just not be the same....

    That looks like the IPSCO pulley I have. You can't go wrong buying this one from Jon. But be aware, that the billet pulley is heavier than the OEM plastic, so it will eat approx. 0.78 HP ;-)

    I think that is probably the most common and well known issue of GEN 2 Vipers. Tons of postings and advice here on this Forum. You'll see that everyone is recommending to replace the plastic OEM pulley (and cast OEM bracket!) by a nice billet pulley (e.g. IPSCO) and bracket as proactive...

    This is the original tool. Like most of them it is manufactured by Miller (not the brewing company). I once found it on Ebay but there are other stores in the net as well.

    I would check ignition wires and coils next. depending on when wires have been replaced for the last time it would make sense to renew them while being at it.

    There is no matching harness/adapter available. You will have to create an Adapter by yourself as the stock cabling uses a DIN connector. Many Posts on how to do this on this forum.

    I still prefer the "authentic" version ;-) plus I have upgraded to smooth tubes, K&N and Corsa & HF cats... BTW: I did buy my US Viper here in Germany, so I hadn't to cope with the import hassle. I think I was lucky as the supply of good examples is very limited here... would assume the same...

    The tubes are the same, the air inlet housing is different. If you look up the parts lists you will find export versions from all the parts I have listed. And who should know better than Herb Helbig??? ;-)

    Herb Helbig once answered the same question in Viper Quarterly: As far as I remember, they had to make a few modification to Euro spec Vipers to achieve the stricter noise limits and adjust for the gas quality. Hence, the Euro spec Vipers have a different muffler setup, some kind of restriction...

    I would recheck the ignition cables if the y are properly seated on the ignition coils.
