Its official, 17" front runners for the gen3/4 vipers are here. No spacers, no grinding, easy as bolting them up to the car and they work with all factory components! I will order tires and get them mounted, as well as start working on a set of rears. If anyone needs them contact Rich@ Bogart!
Thanks for the kind words, i love the way the car came out, this is what I pictured in my head when i bought it and saw an ugly ass viper with some potential lol
Thanks guys, I also had the inner barrels done in gloss black/clear to make it easier to clean so it should look awesome up close for those people that are detailed oriented :)
BC Racing offers a variety of spring rates available, because they allow clients to be able to fine tune their suspension according to their needs and desires. However what comes on the sealed box with the off the shelf kits is not "wrong" , it may simply be different from what an avid road...
it doesn't matter if they are low end, high end, medium end etc. The point here is BC has had them in stock and can ship if someone calls them and makes an order. I have a simple rule of thumb with parts, give me an ETA up front that you can stick to it, and if the vendor can't keep that...
I hope you are calling BC directly and not just posting in the forums, as of last week there was 2 sets in stock that had been in stock for quite some time.
Will, i'm not sure what all you did as far as fixing "bc racing issues" because the first viper in the country to see one of these kits installed and tested was mine, and there was no issues with them.
And considering i personally know the guys at BC Racing i take exception to the insinuation...
No matter how light those are you are still at least double the weight each on the front, just from the tires, and limited to one or 2 tire sizes for the rear on the 18s. Not to mention the issue of safety when running 18psi in the rear with a front radial at 35+psi.
Looking at different options presently, its a bit of a challenge due to the dual caliper setup. but i should have something decided within the next week :)
Long story short, I am not a fan of going to the drag strip with the wrong wheels/tires. I know first hand with previous cars how much of a difference it makes and therefore I refuse to take my car to a drag strip on a set of street tires.
The #1 issue for me was addressing the front tires...
I got a quote from a local shop to redo them flat black center and gloss black lips for $700 i'm sure they can do them in any color for the same (polished would be more since is more involved i'm sure)
I am looking to sell my HREs front tires in great condition rear tires need replacing soon. I would take $3500 for the set of 4 shipped to your door. They are in great condition and the current tires on them are Nitto Invos
