    2 check engine codes

I just disconnected the skip shift solenoid on my '95. The indicator still comes on but I can shift to what ever gear I want. I didn't get a CEL code for unplugging it. Not sure if you can just unplug it on the later models without getting an error code.

    CEL Came On...Fun

Hey guys, Well, here are the codes that are stored: 12 - Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles 21 - 02s sensor problem (oxygen sensor), upstream or down stream 37 - Torque converter clutch solenoid CKT or park/neutral switch failure These are my...

What kind of transmission is in the '95 RT10? Is it the same as the Corvette?

    Fuse Mystery

Hey, I think I have a copy of a 96 RT book at home. I bought a '95 RT and, for some reason, the book that came with it was either a '96 or a '98. I bought my '95 manual on Ebay. I'll check at lunch today and get back with you. I'll give you a good price if you're interested because I have no...

    Fuse Mystery

I think this is the case. Make sure you have the correct manual. The fuse is supposed to protect the wires from catching on fire. If you were pushing 30A down a wire that was rated for 10A, you may have burned the wire in two at it's most resistive point...this may explain why it worked for a...

1996 B&W GTS seen by Newbie !!!! What do you guys think????

Do you pay $33K for the car AND pay for the parts and labor your mechanic puts in to it up front to get it running? Or is the current owner responsible for those up front charges? You will pay more than $1,500 even AFTER it is in good running condition. This is similar to your radiator at...

Old Viper still a Head Turner??

Two kinds of people in the world. I drive mine everywhere too. The garage queen owners must not realize that they won't be able to take it with them when they die.

Confused Newbie deciding between 2001 GTS ACR and 1996 GTS ...Man this is tough!!!

Re: Confused Newbie deciding between 2001 GTS ACR and 1996 GTS ...Man this is tough!! I say the GTS. Spend the money that you save on some nice mods. If for some reason you don't like it right off the bat, I think it would be safe to say that you could sell it for roughly the same price you...

New member looking to buy a '96 Viper

^^^This for sure. Mustangs are a dime a dozen. I've never heard of someone wishing they would have bought a Mustang over a Viper. I have heard it the other way around though.

Gremlins after dead battery, wiring experts or a WIZARD perhaps?

My amps intermittantly go on and off when it is hot outside and I drive around > 1 hour. I'm assumming it is the amp and not the deck. What kind of amp did you replace with?

Viper is cranking, but not starting? - Anyone else have this issue?

Might check the schrader valve on the fuel line to make sure you have fuel pressure...maybe the pump isn't "pumping" anymore? Ah, yes...I see you already tried this. Disregard.

What you guys think about this offer?

...Are those wheels stock? They don't look like they have the chrome shine to them...did they paint them? Good call on the seat belt...what's up with that? Stereo is an eye sore IMO. I think it is priced reasonably if you can stand that non-traditional blue color. Ask if the head gaskets...

Bigger brakes ...bigger master brake cylinder?

Have you tried them out with your current setup yet? Maybe this will help once you try it out :dunno: (if it isn't working right, that is) http://www.outlawdiscbrakes.com/faq.html

    Nice 94 RT/10

I’m definitely not enamored with the interior…It’s red and too glossy for me. It looks very clean though.

Dead battery after only 4 months in the car

Thanks! I let my Viper sit for two weeks because it has been raining and it sounded pretty tired when I turned it over. I'll add this to the Christmas List!

Dead battery after only 4 months in the car

Does anybody recommend a Deltran part number? 12VDC @ 750mA? Or is that too damn small?

    Head gaskets

I did my '95 for about $1000...all parts cost. That's including the new thermostat, plugs, plug wires and fuel filter. I had a buddy help me out because he owns a lift. Took us a weekend. I paid for his time in reloaded .45 ACP ammunition. :2tu:

    BUSTED

Same here in Idaho. Good stuff. :2tu: I hear in DC they are trying to ban Big Gulps inside the District's border. :dunno: Also, the city officials drive around town in M5 BMWs. :nono: Probably why you have to pay property tax on your cars. No offense to anybody, but I dislike the East...

    BUSTED

That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. It wouldn't surprise me if there are a few undercovers joined up on this site screening the calendars for caravan dates. If I were you guys, I would keep those invitations amongst friends. A year in the can for speeding...Pffff! You...

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

Hmmmmm....I would disconnect the stereo and test. Make sure and disconnect the ACC, direct battery, and ground connection from the stereo. The stereo pulls power all the time on the direct connection to save radio stations, music settings, clock, etc. Not sure what kind of stereo you...

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

I also dislike the electrical engineering on these cars. There’s a reason there are countless battery threads on this website…I had to change my battery before too. Start with your ground wires and make sure they have no potential. If that doesn’t work you have to check the rest of the wires...
