Sonoman: I tried the improvised repairs (that lasted a few tries),mine broke at the bend; I understand it is not the use of the mechanism as much as the tension placed at the bend point of the cable housing. The continued stress at the bend point caused by the two attach points weakens the tube...
With only 800 miles my drivers side window regulator had the pesty issue with the cable guard tubing (broken); I tried the bandaid fixes posted on these forums but that only lasted for a limited time. Speaking to the Viper Tech today, after it was replaced, he mentioned that they are starting to...
The OP is correct for now...the diamond Black CTS-V is in demand....even with my USAA buyer discount 68 thousand is the best you can do on a new car.... If you can wait until January or February, when more hit the lots, you can expect a few more thousand off. Also look at the Cadillac forums for...
I bought some used fog lights, had a shop heavy tint them, added hids and they are diffifult to disguish from the black covers...here is a pic....just an option for you....
If you want a symbolic time piece with little or no depreciable impact go with the FGT....as mentioned earlier the GTs are increasing in value......I highly recommend the GT....you can always buy another Viper when your personal conditions permit. Over 6 thousand mile GTs are going in the 155...
Any Gallardo you plan to purchase in the circa 70 thousand range will most likely require some extra thousands $ in upkeep. The cooling system heat loads will most likely have taken a toll on the rubber hose connectors;this coupled with clutch, driveline integrity could be a costly mix. Parts...
One of the reasons I went with Jon's setup, was in great measure by my experience with clear bra on the White Mamba. I noticed that the heat of the cat's/mufflers on the sills began to discolor the clearbra (yellowing); on the raffle car, I was concerned about the heat from the Belangers...
There will be some serious competition next year among many of the brands.......I share your opinion with the wait and see attitude......I plan to add something to my stable; I will debate the merits of ordering one when I see one in person.
You may consider checking with Arrow Racing Engines as for years they have done all warranty work....go to their website for the number and speak to Todd. They tear down and rebuilt these every day.....they did my ported intakes and valve covers to ACRX configuration and the aformentioned person...
Good throw-back to the Diamondback viper raffle car article...for those post 06 members it was a "750 thousand dollar project by Viper,ASC and McLaren"..wonder if the orginal owner still has it....
Note comment by Viper Wizard.....this is for a gen 3 which I would presume has the same mechanism affixed to your regulator. if you will go down to the eight response, there is a pic of a white plastic tube which is the suspect...
Maybe already posted elsewhere, but noticed this on Yahoo today....they have the ACR listed as #3 http://autos.yahoo.com/news/10-fastest-american-cars.html
On one ocassion I heard a loud "bang" shifting from 1st to 2nd at high RPM (Gen IV ACR)......I noticed that someone posted a thread mentioning the same issue; some think it comes as a result of wheel-hop; Question: what drive train parts are making contact to cause this noise????
I had that happen once between 5 to 6 thousand RPM shifting from 1st to 2nd gear... checked everything and has not done it again. Try letting the clutch out slower between shifts...
