Bird, I have to agree completely, When I first got the car I was leaning toward a repaint with the gts blue and black. '01 Sapphire/Silver GTS - speak up!
I have the car apart doing some much needed maintenance, (explaining the hood in the bonus room at christmas time was a fun conversation). With the fascia off the car I can find no evidence of silver stripes anywhere. The black is very subtle not even visible in low light. In the sun it really pops.- blackandblue01

When I bought the car I was under the impression they were. After speaking with several people I have come to the conclusion a previous owner added them. Who ever did the stripes did a top notch job. The good thing is I like em!!!:2tu:- blackandblue01

still not a "viper owner"

Red Vert with any color stripes?
go to a hobby store and pick up a model,, paint it the color combo you "think" you like, If it fits do it, if not paint it again until you like it.- blackandblue01

Did I buy a turd?
It is sapphire blue with black stripes, Has headers not real sure who made them, in the process of installing random tech high flow cats. thanks to john at parts rack. Finishing out with a borla cat back. Going to repaint the car next year probably a combo of gts blue and black. Has 19" 3 piece...- blackandblue01

Ok so turd is harsh, but I did get the answer I was looking for, I love these cars soooooooooo much. I have been so sick after selling my 96, Title is clean, Car is in good shape, Needs alot of detail work and some tlc. It is in great hands now and will be pampered from now on. thanks guys- blackandblue01

I originally had a 96 gts, Sold it bought the wife a new house. Bought an 01 gts. I keep reading all these posts about, poor water pumps, can only handle 5psi of boost, non forged internals, etc. etc. Begining to think I have messed up by saving a few dollars by buying this model.
