96GTS, you say you feel like you weren't there for him but in reality, you were... you made a tough decision just taking him there to the vets in the 1st place.
Your little friend Cowboy would never hold it against you for doing what is best for him... which is exactly why he trusted you over...
The pole setter should always set the start pace and he got spun and trashed... the guy behind that clipped him is the goat here.

Great story. I just had a similar experience 2 weeks ago only without the declining eyesight of the youngster... that part of the story makes it so much more touching.
