    Soft Top

Keep a big towel handy and throw it over the windshield frame when you position the hardtop and/or softtop for installation. Those tabs that fasten the top to the frame will scratch the frame each time it is installed if there is no protection.

Intro and "Man My Stock Brakes Suck" Comment

A "huge" difference? The only difference EBCs would make is if they were replacing bars of soap and that would be a toss up. If you really want to see a huge difference go with PFC.

Intro and "Man My Stock Brakes Suck" Comment

Same here with my 140K mile non-ABS stocker. Sure, they can be improved on but jeeze, they stop the car.

    $4,000 in work? Really?

A new oil cooler AND lines? All three items are leaking oil? That sounds questionable. A new clutch for a one-owner 14,000 mile car? Possible of course but if it needed a new clutch he should be able to tell by driving it.

    If more downforce is needed.

Go to the NHTSA and present to them a study from GTSBruce Automobile Safety Studies INC. proving that wings are a danger to pedestrians. When a pedestrian gets hit and goes over the car a wing can cause serious bodily harm or death. Don't laugh, the logic behind the NHTSA's front spoiler...

    Vipers and Girls...

Most women like the Viper but they will downplay the enthusiasm so they don't appear materialistic. Women are mixed up a bit.

Will removing Aftermarket wing leave holes?

I wouldn't worry about it. The car is fiberglass which is easy to repair.

    Stryker Emblem

The badge isn't the problem. The problem is that big wide black hole. There are some simple cost effective changes that would work wonders for it and make it more distinctive from the Corvette.

Motor Trend 1st drive in new Viper

It's too late in the game to change what needs to change on the front. They could highlight the crosshair thing or better yet, replace it with a less "busy" piece and that would do wonders. Or highlight the brake ducts, that would be cool.

    Selling my dream car

Dunno any details so I can't offer any advice, which is probably a good thing. Anyway, good luck with all.

    Gen 2 motor swap out

I thought Dodge was coming out with a GenIV package for GenI/II/III?

    Daily drive a Gen 1?

Polishing GenI wheels is a really, really big improvement. Looks awesome. :2tu:

Vipers return to Roadracing couldn't have been more perfect!!!

Sports, motorsports particularly is too saturated in America to support two major sports car series. Indy still hasn't regained its respect, influence or finances it had prior to their stupid split nearly 20 years ago. You know you got greedy when your enterprising intentions ruined a good...

    Daily drive a Gen 1?

139,000 miles. Nah, I don't drive it daily.

The RT/10 surprised me at the track yesterday

I'm surprised they let a NOS bottle on the track. Anyway, good job. Those GenIs are a thrill on a track.

    Vipers at Baltimore

Looked to me like the Ferrari was the aggressor but the broadcast version I just watched didn't show enough to tell if it was 93s fault or the Ferrari.

2013 Steering wheel and grab handle...

He said "AT" the track. Lotsa folks like the atmosphere but for whatever reason don't track it. Nothing wrong with that. I like the flat bottom but it will never look as cool as this wheel unless they find a way to hide or get rid of the death balloon.

My 97 GTS is for sale

Wow. Beautiful Viper. Good price. I hope it goes to a good home and not some dip that'll cut it all up.

So how much value does a roof crush requirement of 4 times vehicle mass have? Is there an epidemic of meteors crashing down on unsuspecting drivers? Why settle at 4 times the mass? Why not 5 times or 6 times? Did the NHTSA do a study and come to the conclusion that a roof capable of withstanding...

    1989 Viper Concept car Documentary

Makara is correct on all points. I would add that there has GOT to be mention of the Viper's road racing domination from 97 to 2000 and Dodge's dedication to providing a factory built race Viper to the public. There has been debate regarding Lamborghini's influence. Last word I read was that...

Chysler/Dodge sold about 200,000 minivans last year. If $200 made the difference between buying a Dodge Caravan or a Honda Odyssey to just 2% of minivan buyers then that is $800,000 in sales Dodge missed out on due to exceeding CAFE regulations. 800K is a small percentage in revenue but a big...
