I think flat black would look great but I want to stick to the factory colors. When I was looking for a car I didn't know if I wanted silver or graphite so when the dealer tried to locate a car, the striped ones(optioned the way I wanted) were very far away so I took a nearby black and will...
I bought this from Roanoke last week, silver stripes go on next week http://forums.viperclub.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=2883&sthttp://forums.viperclub.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=2884&stc=1&d=1233068915c=1&d=1233068860
I drove mine this weekend for the first time, temp was 9 and the road was clear and dry so I went down the road and back about 2 miles. The heater works good.
Congrats, John at Roanoke delivered me a new black 08 coupe last Tuesday. I don't think this will be my last viper purchase from Roanoke. John took me out to the shop and showed me his ACR and now I'm thinking, well maybe next time.
I agree, I bought one for the 07 Vette and just ordered another one to fit the 08 Viper coupe. This is made by Cover King and the type is called Satin Stretch, its for indoor use only and the fit is very nice and snug. The price was about $279.
Thanks for the info, this confirms the measurements I took at the dealership. A couple of our measurements differ by 1/16 in. but they may differ car to car. Roanoke Motors delivered my new Viper on Tuesday and it goes to the shop on Feb. 2 for silver stripes over black.
I don't know about that but I had to prove the relationship, and I had an e-mail from Chrysler confirming the info with code numbers the dealer needed to put in his computer to confirm.
You sound like me a couple years ago, now its time to put up. I'm going to Chicago tomorrow to look at 3 GTS's and next week I will stop at a dealer in Springfield Mo. on my way to Arkansas.
I do get it I just need to make my mind up, I want the looks and raw power of the Viper and the amenities of the Vette. I think my post should have asked what are the pros and cons of both. When I ask the same question on the vette site they were helpful in pointing out the differances on this...
I talked to them yesterday, I think I spoke to Chris. I am driving to Arkansas next week and will be passing right through Springfield Mo. and am planing on stopping in.
About the same as I hear on this forum. Vette is better fit and finish, better ac, and interior. Viper gets all the attension, they go on to say I won't go wrong either way but if I have the cash they would buy the Viper. I'm looking at a GTS now and I'm trying to line up a trailer if things...
I have found a couple cars that I like but they didn't have stripes. How are you going to add them paint or decal and do you know about what the cost will be?
I want a Gen II w/strips, no mods, the only color I don't care for is the silver, yellow w/black is top choice. As far as price goes I would like to stay under 40K.(I know your FE does not fall into this range). I've owned 5 vettes, the newest being a 72 w/454. I sold all the toys including...
Ouch!!
I'm 50 and you don't need to flame me about watching one on e-bay. As far as Texas being to far away, car is on Mexico boarder. I think I can find one closer to the midwest so I drive to inspect and trailer home myself. As far as being serious I not going to buy the first car I see up...
This is a lot more feedback the expected, In a couple of hours 31 on Viper site and only 6 on Z06 site. The feed back has eased my mind a bit on the reliability. I'm in Geneseo IL and I'm watching the Yellow GTS on e-bay that is in Texas, I wish it wasn't so far away.
Corvette guys say the Z06 is a better daily driver and rides better but go on to say the Viper gets noticed more and is a great car and I can't go wrong with either choice.
I'm looking for a Z06(03 yellow) or a Gen II GTS. I love the looks and the rare factor of the Viper but reading all the post on motor repairs, trans rebuilds, over heating, the list goes on it makes me worried about making this purchase. I know the bias of this sight will lean Viper but I...
