Re: Owner Feedback...what you love about it, and why others should consider buying on
6800 miles on mine. I've tracked it and drag raced it. It is a great car, and really shines on the road course. Very fast car on the highway, for a stock vehicle. Only gripe has to do with the computer at...
Here is a tip on those polished wheels. Whenever you wash and dry them off, hit them with a quick layer of automotive wax on a microfiber cloth. Every time you wash them. This will form a simple protective layer on them to keep water from beading up on them, and prevent the natural oxidation...
Looks like we have twin cars. Good to see my car's twin out there, also being raced.
Here are some vids I made, also roll races.

My best was 134 mph with stock engine, but that wasn't normal. It would trap 129-131 most of the time. This white car would go over 140 with more seat time. He was still shifting it a bit early. First drag strip visit, ever. Running a bottom 10 is challenging, even for experienced drivers.
My buddy Mike copied my exact build recipe, minus the nitrous and 3.33 gears. He went 10.31 @ 137 yesterday, on 19" drag radials. This was his first visit to a dragstrip, ever. Started the day by running 12s. It was a track rental day, so he got plenty of seat time and practice, and some...
You guys arguing about pricing differences and bang for the buck:
We do not buy Vipers because we want bang for the buck. We buy Vipers because we want them. Not everyone can claim that. If I just wanted to go fast and cheap, I'd still be modding Fox body Mustangs and F-bodies.
Even the factory T56 held up for almost a year, before I swapped it out. In fact, that trans still works. I upgraded to the TR6060 solely for the standing mile events, because of the gearing in 5th and 6th. This TR6060 has been over 200 mph multiple times. Probably has hundreds of 60-160 mph...
Holding 1300 ft lbs isn't the same as holding a high rpm dump on a sticky tires with drag tires. Mine doesn't slip at all, except on those high rpm clutch dumps with the spray on. RPM just climbs, car isn't moving. Launching below 4000 rpm, it holds fine all the way down the track. Just...
Was planning on making some blower only passes when the bottles ran dry. But, I broke 2nd gear in the trans, likely missing all the synchro teeth on that gearset. Won't go into 2nd now. All other gears fine. I've been beating on this factory TR6060 for over a year now, it has held up very...
I haven't taken this car to the drag strip in over 2 yrs now. Last time out, it was just a stock engine car with the Paxton supercharger. Since then, I've added about 400 rwhp. I couldn't get a good launch without making the clutch slip too much, so I had to leave the line somewhat...
Haha, I was one of those guys. I bought one of the first C6's in Houston, a black on red Z51. Added supercharger/cam/headers. It went mid-10s back in 2006. Then the Z06 widebody came out and I was like WTF???!!!
So I bought a Z06. And added a supercharger and headers. Fantastic cars.
I...
If I were to re-order my '13, I'd have skipped the $3K leather seat upgrade and just went with the ballistic cloth seats. I think they look better, and would be cooler in hot climates. And, I'd add the carbon aero.
SRT
Solid white
Track pack Sidewinder2 wheels
Corsa tires
Carbon aero
Balistic...
I've already sold more sets of wheels for the C7 Corvette, than I have for the Gen V Viper, too.
This is the result you get when GM supports the aftermarket community. Free marketing and buzz on their product, as the horsepower pros begin tweaking them further. Late Model Racecraft are...
How about another twist. We already know that GM has run the C7 Corvette on the 'Ring. But, they haven't posted any times. I wonder if someone is embarrassed? Had it been great, it would have been posted all over the net as soon as it happened. Like they did with the 2014 Z/28 laps.
My blue/white '06 coupe has never been mistaken for anything else. The stripes and blue/white color are likely the reason, as people identify with the '96 GTS in those colors, when they think Viper. My solid white '13 has been mistaken for: Corvette, Maserati, Ferrari, Tesla.
Maybe I...
Just so you guys know, this GA3 Forgeline wheel is the exact same spoke pattern used on several of the Viper Comp Coupe cars. It is a true racing wheel, and was designed specifically for the Viper.
I run the same wheels on my '06 coupe.
I read the letter.
I will not be renewing my sponsorship here, for 2014. Nor will I be renewing my VCA Venom membership.
The letter is disgraceful and desperate. Any successful business person knows that you should not speak negatively of your "competition", but instead, should list the...
