    Side by Side Photos - Gen 5 & C7

C7 in these photos is lowered about an inch from stock. It takes 15 minutes on a lift to do that with any C5-C6-C7. My Viper is stock height. The C7 was a little shorter, but also narrower.

Traded in GTR for new Viper!

Congrats on the new toy. You might want to take up road course racing, if you want to get the full enjoyment out of this car.

Yes, the bumper/hood gap on my car does bother me a bit. It looks worse due to the shadow direction though. In reality, it might stick up 1/8" inch above the bumper cover. Should be a simple shim fix, but I've been driving the car and not really wanting to drop it off at the dealership. I'll...

    Side by Side Photos - Gen 5 & C7

Viper hood and trunk gaps are bigger looking, for sure. But, that also has to do with the way the gaps are located on the body. The C7 hood fits inside the fenders, the Viper hood IS the fenders. The C7 hatch fits inside a hole in the back, not inclusive of the spoiler. The Viper hatch...

2013 SRT Viper by Vivid Racing Previewed Ahead of SEMA

I think most of you do not understand that this is a SEMA display car, meant to show the new carbon fiber parts that Seibon produced for the Viper. The parts being painted wouldn't display the parts well. Seibon has done this each year, with different vehicles. After the show, the cars are...

    Side by Side Photos - Gen 5 & C7

A customer came by yesterday to order some wheels for his new Corvette, and to allow me to take measurements off of his car for fitment. We did a quick (and dirty) photo comparison of both cars. It was fun comparing all the body lines and differences between these two cars, and after our...

    My New Forgeline Wheels

I'd stick with the satin black on a bumblebee, Capt Van. These new Vipers favor the black wheel, due to all the black accents on the car - and your stripes.

    My New Forgeline Wheels

Roy, thanks again for the business! I am glad to be a part of your project. For those wondering, here are the specs on this combo: Forgeline GA3-6 Viper 18x10.5 front 19x13.0 rear Satin black center Gloss black lip Flush-Loc centerlock hub conversion w/ GT Spline nut, anodized red Factory...

Maybe this will eliminate the "Is it a V12?" question.

People that don't know what a Viper has, or don't understand this plate - probably a waste of time to talk to, anyways :)

BBG Dual Disc Clutch install and reivew

It is a lot lighter. I weighed mine compared with the stocker. Stock Gen 3 w/ flywheel = 65.5 lbs BBG w/ flywheel = 45.5 lbs Big difference. No issues shifting it. It has held up to my abuse for over a year.

    SCT for the Gen 5

Gen 3 pistons aren't anything to brag about, yet they still hold up to years of 650-675 rwhp if the fuel/tune is correct and on the conservative side. The Gen 4 should be similar. Gen 5 should be capable of more.

Will SRT's Marketing Department Kill the Viper Brand?

Except on the GTS-R racecars. They still rock Michelins. Confusing, right?

Viper production slowed by one third due to sluggish sales

The Tesla niche is far broader, than the niche for the Viper. The Tesla is still a 4-door commuter car, with plenty of style and utility. I can be driven daily, and the fuel economy could justify it. The only niche for the Viper is pulling up to a gathering, and feeling like a badass, and...

How To: Beat Launch Control in an SRT Viper

Let's be real, what would it take? Only short answers please

I don't get the "cheap plastic vents" statement at all. Just about every car on the market uses plastic grilles. Even this $400,000 example. Even the SLS AMG Benz still uses plastic vents.

Gen V Drag Strip Results & C7 Corvette

I bought a new OBD2/ABS scan tool on Sunday, will give it a try next time around. But, if the engine requires drive cycles (starts/restarts/miles) to clear the low timing maps, then clearing codes won't really do much. I'll just try my best to avoid getting into the low map range.

New Gen V for $500 over invoice

This is a Viper CLUB website forum. You are just a guest, not a paying member. If you were to show up at a Viper gathering, and walk around bashing Vipers and Ralph, you'd be asked to leave the gathering. This forum should be no different. Constructive criticism is welcome, but thus far...

Gen V Drag Strip Results & C7 Corvette

Bob, my car is stock, other than rear tires. But the tires are OEM height also. Tom, my car never threw any dash lights. They did say that pressing the brake and accelerator could trigger an ABS code and reduce power though, but I got no light for that.

    $65K

Viper. Because in 2 yrs, the Viper will probably be worth the same amount, and the Corvette would be worth $45K, and you'd be surrounded by all the other Corvettes.

Let's be real, what would it take? Only short answers please

Notice I said "some" people. Adding HP has always proven to sell cars, no argument there. I said the same thing. But, the example of which brand name tires are on a car? That doesn't make or break a sale, does it? Seems trivial. Would I prefer Michelin over Pirelli? Yes. Would Pirelli...
