    gen v resale value

I'm so upset, that I added a Corsa catback to the car today. I also am so upset, that I've put nearly 16K miles on the car in a year, enjoying it. While keyboard commandos like yourself only dream about driving one. Boo hoo! I'm sooooooo upset. Losing $20K in a year isn't going to break me...

If this list is what you need to validate, I will play too. Having money doesn't make you more intelligent than others with less. You are still a moron. It is what it is.

    Old run flats worth anything?

Put them on ebay. There are several cars out there that are modified to use a 345 tire. Some with much less hp than a Viper has.

Road & Track Article Z/28 vs.the World (Including Viper TA)

Have any of you that complain about the Corsa tires tracked them? I have, and I found them very similar to the Michelin Sport Cups. They were better than the Michelin Super Sports. Don't knock them, until you try them, that is all I am saying. Not as sticky as some other tires, like those on...

Viper breaks 200mph in one mile shootout!

I went 206 on just the Paxton. 209 with a 100 shot, spraying 5th-6th. Congrats on the run, Hugh!

    Hot Rod Power Tour 2014

I've done 9 Long-Hauls so far. Not going this year, due to work schedule and the extra distance to travel to the start, and back to Houston from WI. Best car event, ever. Done it twice in Vipers.

Should I wait for the 2015 refresh

I wouldn't order a Viper again. Better deals to be had on existing built cars, and no months of waiting. Buy now.

Keep the C7 Stingray or back to a Viper?

This statement made me laugh. I know exactly what you mean. Celery. C6 and C7 Corvette interiors smell like celery to me. I don't even like it on my salads. Has to do with the glues they use. Really gets strong after sitting in the sun with the windows up.

    A DEAL I just couldn't turn down.

Congrats on the new toy, Todd. That gunmetal color w/ stripes is a wicked combo. Now, go develop a supercharger system for us :)

What's the lifespan of a GenIV engine?

RPM is what kills engine life. Therefore, Viper engines should last forever. We don't have enough RPM :)

Can someone tell me how the front splitters are attached????

Bumper is very easy to remove. I can have mine off in about 20 minutes. Splitters do not decrease ground clearance compared to other Gen 5 cars, they sort of shoot straight out from the bottom of the lowest point of the bumper.

Hot Tip...Buy the Gen V Collectible while you can still afford to

Bob, you are looking at the subject with a narrow understanding of the economic factors related to the GM/Chrysler bailout. While I'm not necessarily a fan of those either, I do understand the economic domino effect and how much it would have cost the US taxpayers had either of those massive...

Hot Tip...Buy the Gen V Collectible while you can still afford to

For further proof, look at how well the 2006 Viper coupes are holding value, compared to all the other Gen 3 and non-ACR Gen 4 cars. 2006 being the only recent coupe that is easy to modify.

Hot Tip...Buy the Gen V Collectible while you can still afford to

I run around with owners of some of the fastest street cars in the country. Many of them have plenty of extra cash to buy toys. They tend to buy the latest and greatest models of any given favorite make, as long as they can modify their cars to be as fast (or faster) than the current...

Hot Tip...Buy the Gen V Collectible while you can still afford to

Here ya go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_GT The Gen V could rival the FGT if 1) They stop building them today. 2) Someone cracks the tuning. Just supply vs demand, there aren't that many built right now, despite weak sales.

Hot Tip...Buy the Gen V Collectible while you can still afford to

I love the Ford GT. But, you do realize that they built 4,000 of them in those two years, don't you? That isn't "low numbers". It would take SRT 5 years to build that many Gen 5 Vipers. FGT's also sat around on dealership lots for several months, some over a year, after they quit building...

    Am I missing something?

As suggested, warranty is just based on years and mileage. The car is "used" since it was likely bought by that dealer in hopes of a quick resale with mark-up, when the cars first came out. I've seen that car listed months ago for more. Motivated dealer? Try www.viperexchange.com - they...
