Well, I finally got my gold Forgestars. Flame away...

The gold wheels do not bother me, but the rest of the gold accents make the car look too busy. If it were my car, I'd do these things to make it a knock-out. 1. Lowered (glad you are doing this already) 2. Remove the gold emblems. Go with no emblems (everyone knows it is a Viper) 3. Remove...

    New TA

Congrats on the new toy. They don't make a bad color for the T/A.

Bought warped wheel from VPA. Tried to contact them but no response. Any suggestions?

Re: Bought warped wheel from VPA. Tried to contact them but no response. Any suggesti Yes, "Hyper Black" or "Hyper Silver Dark" (both same) is a 2-stage powdercoating process. Black basecoat with transparent silver topcoat. That is how it gets the shadow effect. Also, as mentioned, cannot be...

Bought warped wheel from VPA. Tried to contact them but no response. Any suggestions?

Re: Bought warped wheel from VPA. Tried to contact them but no response. Any suggesti Sorry to hear about all the issues. Just some input, might help. I've never seen a factory wheel that was warped, as they are cast aluminum and come out of a mold. I have seen several tires that are...

VIDEO: SRT VIPER vs. C6 Z06 Roll Race...

I was told the C6Z has a few bolt-ons. I know the Viper is 100% stock, other than the MCS coil-overs and Forgeline wheels I sold him.

Observations while Twin Turbocharging a 2014 SRT GTS

100% stock vehicle, equipped with 19" drag radials on the stock rear wheels. No dynos made, as I tend to use dynos for a tuning tool only. Since I've got no mods, never saw a need to dyno it. If I get bored, I'll put it on some rollers :)

Observations while Twin Turbocharging a 2014 SRT GTS

Hehe, my clutch hasn't lasted 7K miles, with "spirited driving". They really are the weak point, especially at the drag strip. Luckily, my Bad Boyzz Garage dual-disk is already in shipment. :) Tony

Wrecked 08 ACR on ebay - how much to fix?

Any time people complain about not getting test drives on new Vipers, someone should post a link to this thread. 49 miles and totaled? Ouch.

    new White TA

Congrats! First white TA purchased on this site. I'm glad you got some quality seat time on the trip home, that is what memories are made of. I flew to Detroit to pick up my '13, drove it back to Houston. Bigger pics, please :) Tony

SRT and the new gen5 Viper are Italian, not American.

Your friends are simply ignorant, and likely wish to pursue this argument with you because they know it gets to you.

    Vipers and Haters

It is easy to summarize this.

    No entry level viper

The auto doesn't bother me, if it is optional. Not interested in any V8 under the hood, ever. Smaller V10 with forced induction, sure. Just no V8.

TA selling well, soon to be selling out...and it's no surprise why

Here is my take on the upcoming Z06 vs the Viper. By the time the Z06 hits the market, I'll have enjoyed driving and racing my Gen 5 Viper for almost 2 years. Those who are always waiting "for the next best thing" fail to realize the enjoyment we early buyers get by NOT waiting. When you wait...

    Most fun car ever?

No. I built it in 2002, sold it in 2005. Now I'm building another one, this time a hugger orange convertible.

TA selling well, soon to be selling out...and it's no surprise why

SRT track pack is still the lightest variant. Just to clarify some discussion above. The larger front brakes on the TA were more about heat dissipation during multiple laps, but as stated, the base brakes are still excellent and proven with the ACR. The solid sways would be interesting to...

    Most fun car ever?

For me, it was the 1969 Camaro that I built myself. Modern pro-touring suspension, 500+ rwhp supercharged LS6 with T56, no radio, no A/C, rollbar, mid-10s in the 1/4, and on two magazine covers. It was rowdy, handled well, and fun.

Re: Forgestar F14 wheels in stock! Ready to ship. 19/19 and 19/20 for all gen Viper Michelin Pilot Super Sport. I run these on my 19/19 Gen 3: 275/30-19 front 345/30-19 rear Sure wish these Forgestar wheels would come out of backorder hiding. It has been almost a year on backorder. When...

Paxton Supercharged 2006 Coupe Build Thread

You know something that really truly does suck about the Gen V?

I've never caught anyone doing that to my Vipers, and those people still have their hands to prove it.

TA selling well, soon to be selling out...and it's no surprise why

No doubt, I'd have ordered the TA if I knew it were coming out before I ordered my SRT Track Pack. To me, it is the perfect Viper. Especially since it was only $10K more than my nicely optioned cruiser SRT car.

Paxton Supercharged 2006 Coupe Build Thread

When I did 209 mph, I was closer to 1000 rwhp, and I only used nitrous in 5th-6th gear. I also did it with absolutely zero aero aids, no taped up body panel gaps, no folded mirrors, no taped up grille, on factory width tires. The car makes too much power to floor the throttle until mid-3rd...

Paxton Supercharged 2006 Coupe Build Thread

I'm crossing the line at 6300 rpm, which is my rev limiter. You can hear it hit as soon as I pass the timing block. It couldn't get any closer than that. So, I'm currently geared perfectly for the 1/4-mile and my trap speed. Calculates out to 156 mph. I'll be swapping back to 3.07 gears...
