My view:
2013MY -- GTS and SRT trim released. First MY for Gen V
2014MY -- TA package added. Inventory stacks up on dealer lots.
2015MY -- Chrysler pulls plug on Viper program.
2016MY -- Last "new" 2014 MY Viper sells from dealership.
2017MY -- Viper fans complain that the Viper is dead...
1969 Camaro production numbers. Many winning Trans-Am series races back then. Heard of Penske?

The new Camaro is still a better car. Better, defined as out-performing it in every aspect, improved safety, comfort, fuel mileage...
I like my 1969 Camaro SS more than the two late model 2010, 2012 Camaros I've owned. But, I'm not naive to think the 1969 was a "better" vehicle than the newest Camaros. Sure, the old car gets more attention, but that doesn't make it a "better" vehicle. Every single Viper gets attention, so...
Last weekend I had the Corsas on the front, Sport Cups on the back of my Gen 5. No complaints about either tire. The Corsas seemed a little more melted after the day, whereas the Sport Cups didn't look much different before/after. Having driven both on the street, and in the rain, the Corsa...
There were four ACR's (Gen 4) out there with us. One was highly modified, more of a track-only car. The other three were mostly stock. Only one had a timer, and we both ran identical times. 1:47-1:49 range, which is actually good for this track. But hey, I missed apex's. And I'll do it again.
I've had the Pirelli Corsa track pack tire, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup, and the Michelin Pilot Super Sport on my Gen 5. The Corsa is a good all-around tire, even in the rain. The Sport Cups are more suited to the track, being the ACR factory tire. The Pilot Super Sport would be my favorite...
Good eye. I scrolled past it and didn't even notice that. In the Gen V book by Maurice, those holes were intended for vertical LED foglights. Later on, due to cost, they made them into wheel vents. That hole looks much wider now, so it could be the LED fogs + wheel vents?
That outer ring isn't very fun to remove. It is threaded on, and usually pretty tight. I used a 2x2 block of wood and tapped it with a hammer to get it spinning off (counter clock-wise), being careful not to hit it too hard. I used wood to keep from damaging the plastic grip lines, as it is...
Ummmm..... it doesn't exist for the Gen 4. Hence the topic of this thread. We should be glad that somebody is actually trying to develop something. This will certainly improve the resale / modification value of the Gen 4 cars, if it works out.
You guys play nice. :)
I'm going to have to try driving my car sometime. My chauffeur tells me it drives nice.
Sorry, your Gen 2 isn't the best Viper ever built. But I still love them, too.
Glad you got into the Chocolate Factory, Charlie. Haha
Agreed that every buyer should get a chance to visit the plant. That should be part of the ownership experience. It made my purchase more special, to me.
Does the rear hatch shut with those two suitcases up top as shown? Haha. Soft-sided luggage works much easier in this car, but I like the matching leather. Who machined the wheels? Looks great!

Now that I've had some experience with the Pirelli Corsa track pack tires, I can share some dismal information about them. They are nearly impossible to dismount without damaging the tire. I caught a nail in one of my rear tires, so I was dismounting it to patch the tiny nail hole. The tires...
It would be more reasonable to compare the price of a fully loaded Gen 4 with nav, vs a base model Gen 5. The Gen 5 base model still has more features than the loaded Gen 4. The prices are very close, then.
People can hate on the Gen 5, but I still enjoy being one of those rare owners and...
BMW gave me another X5
Audi gave me an A5 when my S5 was in the shop
Cadillac gave me another CTS when mine was in the shop
Giving a $150,000 Viper buyer a Dodge Journey is unacceptable. For one 1 or 2 days, sure. But 58 days??? I thought SRT wanted to have its own brand? then SRT...
