Your just on the wrong end to hear it ;) The 5lb pulley might not make as much noise but it's still there. BTW, if that's the car from Atlanta I did the install.
Actually, this might be your exact s/c, just on a different car. Same pulley as yours....making a little noise huh :D...
He is :D
On his car I replaced the timing cover gasket......there really wasn't much oil around the cover but under the intake almost halfway back it was filling the valleys up with oil. Weird.
Good to see you posting Larry !!
Have you done a leak down test yet ? When doing that, also check to see where the air is going if anywhere. Also, what do the plugs look like...all the same or ??
No hotter from heat soak. Less heat in the air because it wouldn't have to spin as fast to make the same boost. You need to watch a w/m car on the dyno when the tubes and s/c frost over :D
Did they have the dyno set on the "Dyno Jet" mode or just normal. Somewhere on here I have my car n/a on back to back pulls Dyno Dynamics vs DynoJet and also a DD in DJ mode.
I'm not sure what tq a stocker with 5lbs would pull but the DD could certainly do different things than a DJ due to the...
Some Roe S/C's have two tapped holes in the front corners of the aluminum plate that sits on the intake. Run bolts in those holes to break the seal. If yours is an early unit, a couple of screw drivers tapped between the plate and intake on the front will get it. Those two tapped holes are not...
Only if it is hanging etc would I lube it and then VERY VERY light and I still wouldn't lube all the areas. I screwed up and did mine one time...big mistake. I recently put new springs/hinges on a car and had to take them back off and soak in parts cleaner just to get the lubricant off. If it's...
There was not a hanger when I did mine. It looks pretty easier but actually took a lot of hours. I said earlier that the RSI hanger very well might be the way to go. Certainly is unless you are a capable DIYer. I'm pretty darn cheap and I would go the RSI route myself...at least at the $399...
No issues so far...I think the clutch is dragging a little slowing my shifting down. Had that before too. There is someone else with a TT that has busted a few built transmissions (5th gear) that may be installing one. That will be a good test. I'm chicken for 5th on the street around here.
The...
The way the pumps are in mine, the bottom of the filter screen is probably touching the bottom of the tank. I wouldn't normally race or autocross with less that 3/8 to 1/2 tank even with the stock set-up but the other day I had cause to do a 1/2/3/4 30mph to 140mph with less than 1/4 tank and...
thanks Tony
questions:
how are the lines inside the canister connected to the pumps?
Braided line, hose clamp on the pump end, AN fitting on the top. Now I would use the specific type hose that is made to be submerged in fuel.
what are the lines going to the Y-fitting?
Those are the feed...
I'll add to this....If you have the round metal piece on top like mine has, you may be able to use it for your regulator if using the stock line for a return. Not all years have the metal piece/return.
That is the way mine is. When my hard drive crashed I lost the pics of the inside. I did send them to a few folks back when....maybe someone still has them.
Here is the top. Two feed lines go into a Y block. I am using the stock line for a return.
