Would you guys buy this Viper?

Remember that nothing is actually sold until the reserve is met (at least through e-bay).

    Hypertech Hyperpac for a Viper?

I had a Hypertech CPU reprogrammer for my Corvette and it worked fine, but I really wonder if this device would work with a Viper. If it was designed and tested for the Viper, then it could be a great tool/toy. But that's a BIG if considering the very low production volumes of Vipers (small...

    ME 4-12 cancelled

They will sell 2006s to many people who wanted the SRT-10 Viper, but in Coupe form. The GTS sold fine with the ACRs available. Granted there was little power difference between the models, but even if the ACR had an additional 100HP and cost $20K more I think that the buyers would be...

    4.10 gear for sell

Seriously, without 20" wheels 4.10 gears are overkill on a Viper, especially if you have any mods. I have 3.55 gears and they are great, but I'd never go over 3.73 gears. But the 4.10s are very good for Corvettes. I had a Corvette before (which come stock with 3.42 gears), and I got a set of...

Would you guys buy this Viper?

Both the hood and rear fender would need to be replaced, but trunk might be fixable. The frame is likely bent, possibly the front suspension as well, and the rear tub is likely shattered inside too. Viper parts cost a fortune, even used. :( Figure $20K-$30K+ to fix it properly. I would not...

    ME 4-12 cancelled

I actually find this news encouraging. The ME412 was of course a cool supercar concept, but with it being built there was less room for the Viper to be DC's halo car. The ME412 was really a Mercedes supercar anyway, just badged as a Chrysler just like the Crossfire. And the moment...

When you drive a Viper someone is always trying to outdo you.

Someone actually does make a Carrera GT kit car based on the Toyota MR2. Personally, I love the style and performance of the Porsche CGT, but it would be tough for me to justify spending nearly $500,000 for any car. :o I think that the CGT looks better in both black and dark...

Yea or nay vote for the new viper coupe

Re: NAY I think that it was a huge mistake not adding one single HP to the SRT-Coupe, especially with all of the loud press about the Ford GT and C6 Z06 Corvette. Certainly the older Gen1 and GenII Vipers had far less than 500HP stock, but they were VERY competitive when they were new, and we...

Chad aka GCHDEALER gets a$$ handed to him by LS1 vette video!!!

Before my mods I once lost to a heads/cam/DRs C5 Corvette at the track. I got a better ET, but he cut a better light and won the run. Thanks for the video. I'm looking forward to seeing the rematch, as it looked close. :2tu:

New Viper Coupe at LA auto show

The resale value (which has been dropping due to oversupply) has a strong affect on sales. Unless you are keeping the car for the rest of your life, resale value determines the true cost of ownership of a new car. Depreciation is the single largest cost of owning any new car. And higher resale...

Jenny Craig can help the New Coupe

There is little doubt that now that the SRT-10 Coupe is out, that an ACR version will follow. And the SEMA "Carbon" Viper showed that with carbon fiber fenders and hood the SRT-10 Viper can loose around 150lbs+.

Viper SRT Coupe - High Resolution Pictures ... 5MP+++[640x480 previews]

It defintely looks better lowered. I suppose adding on a Paxton afterwards would make everything all right. I'm still disappointed that DC didn't add any power for '06, but I do like the looks of the new coupe.:D

Here is the New Coupe----any GTS Owners Considering Trading In?

With DC's official announcement, it looks like they have dropped the ball with the SRT-10 Coupe NOT getting any power increase. I think that the styling is fine, but not adding power is the worst mistake imaginable. The C6 Z06 uses carbon fiber body panels, and GM developed an aluminum...

    Coming Soon...

I could live with the scoop if it was functional. If so, can air flow be turned off inside? How does it handle rain? What is the weight compared to the factory hardtop? Has this new design been tested at higher speeds? (150MPH+) Can a 6" tall person with a racing helmet fit under this roof...

Another coupe thread...embargoed pics from Autoweek

If it had come out with 625HP, there would be few complaints, and the name of Viper would be the buzz of the automotive press again. :2tu: But without even 1 measly HP more for the SRT-10 Coupe it's an insult and embarassment to the Viper community. With the new Coupe's acceleration...

    Coupe Press Release

I was truly hoping in the last minute that DC would surprise everyone and raise the Viper's power to counter the C6 Z06, and keep up with the Ford GT. 550HP would have been barely enough, 625HP (like the SEMA Carbon concept would have been just right. But leaving the Viper's power inimproved...

Here is the New Coupe----any GTS Owners Considering Trading In?

I actually like the SRT-10 Coupe's styling just fine, but it's unforgivable to have the Viper remain at 500HP! What are they thinking?

    The Horsepower Wars are OVER!

I've always figured that the Viper would eventually need some sort of traction control to support the increased power that's needed to keep it competitive. But I figure that it should take well over 650HP for it to be a real problem. The "Carbon" Viper at the SEMA show is likely a good...

    MOTOR TREND ARTICLE NEW COUPE

The problem is not just the Corvette Z06, the point is that 500HP is more commonplace now than it was just two years ago in performance cars. Even with several sedans. :o While it's great that you enjoy your Viper regardless of it's not having more power than many newer high performance...

    MOTOR TREND ARTICLE NEW COUPE

Without a substantial power increase for 2006, the Viper will lose it's status as one of the fastest, exclusive, high performance cars in the world, to just being mid-pack with everyone else. :( And you just KNOW that every single auto magazine in the world is going to test the lighter, less...

THE REAL SCOOP ON THE NEW COUPE, ITS FINAL (READ)

It would be terribly unfortunate if D/C dropped the ball and didn't give the Viper more power for 2006. They have given Mercedes power boosts across the board, and are now up to more than 600HP and 738TQ for the SL65. The Viper won't slip badly if the new coupe is rated at 550HP, but...

    EBC Greens.......Good or Bad

I have greens up front and reds out back and the grip is just fine for me. Plus there was dramatically reduced dust and no squeal. But I made sure that I chamfered the new pads and scuffed the rotors to make sure that they weren't glazed.

How much power is needed to run 11.0 index at V-10 Nats?

Of course it depends on if you are trying to hit 11.0 on Pilots, or with drag radials/slicks. With DRs, 550RWHP should work.

    1968 Camaro VS 2001 RT-10

I raced a heavily modded 1968 Camaro twice at the track (both of us N/A), one win, one loss. He was running slicks. The loss was my fault, spinning badly in 2nd gear. But even with him having slicks he would take me out of the hole, and I would reel him in always passing him well before the...

New Roe, Scratch one Porsche GT3!

Actually the base prices climb quickly. The options on the 911s are very pricey. :o I had a friend of mine who ordered a new, loaded, GT3 and out the door his cost was $153K! Hardly the rumored $99K base price. ;)
