    What is normal op temp?

How high of a reading are you getting at red lights/low speeds? This >100 degree Texas heat has definitely had an effect on mine lately.

    HELP: Radiator Drain -Refill Proceedure

I found this thread about ten minutes before I was going to attempt the flush and burping procedure on my GTS....filling the system from the top hose worked perfectly....no removal of the air bleed screw on the thermostat housing or burping were necessary....thanks, Ron!!!

    Question: Help Please

I drove mine a little without the sills on and the paint at the bottom of the doors got really hot....like can't touch it kind of hot. No damage, though.

    Kumho's?????

I just wrestled with the same decision and went with the PS2s on the stock wheels of my '97 GTS. Another thing to consider is that the Kumhos start off with 8/32" of tread while the Michelins have 10/32".

Gen II Transmission Fluid Change Question

It's a Craftsman Digitork rated between 5-80 ft/lbs. I've had good luck with it so far and it's always stopped about where I expected it was going to until now...I'm sticking with feel this time and don't think I overtightened it. I'm more worried that I didn't tighten it enough and I'm going...

    Interior door panel came loose...help!

Dave, That part you showed is okay and screwed down tight.... the problem seems to be somewhere in the middle, about even with where the latch catches on the door pin. I'll try to post some pictures.

    Interior door panel came loose...help!

When the bottom/rear corner (where the carpet is) on the passenger door of my '97 GTS started rubbing when closing the door, I thought my hinges had sagged....after further inspection, I found that the interior door panel has come loose. Apparently, when the panel comes loose, it no longer...

Gen II Transmission Fluid Change Question

It had a little red residue from some old thread sealer, but not enough to keep me from getting several turns finger tight....I'm usually a fanatic about torquing everything to spec, but it just didn't feel right on this....I think it's the design of the plug that's throwing me off, and you're...

Gen II Transmission Fluid Change Question

I just got through changing the transmission fluid on my '97 GTS and when I went to torque the drain plug at the recommended 28 ft/lbs, the plug seems like it's not getting any tighter....like it's just spinning into the hole. I chickened out going any tighter when the outside edge of the plug...

97 GTS Wheel and Seat Questions

Sweet! I have the polished ones and will look for the welds. I'm considering having them restored by the local "Wheels America" due to some minor curb/tire machine damage on the lips....they're not my favorite wheels in the world, but the car is 100% stock and original and I kind of like the...

97 GTS Wheel and Seat Questions

I bought a '97 B/W GTS last weekend and ahave a couple of questions I can't find answers to in Search.... Is there a way to tell the difference between the stock cast and forged wheels both produced on the '97s? Also, what is the best way to restore Viper seats? Are there replacement seat...

    '97 GTS Question

The "excellent" is pretty good except for some wear on the left side of the driver's seat bolster, a little curb stop rash under the front air dam, and a small fender scratch...I'd have to fix all three to get it 100%. It also still has the stock tires which are probably like rocks after 12+...

    '97 GTS Question

Can I get some opinions on what a '97 GTS Blue/White, with ~16,000 miles is worth?...excellent condition, never seen rain, 100 percent stock, etc, etc. I may have a chance to get one from an owner who has expressed an interest in selling his, but isn't actively advertising it (yet). Excuse...
