One of the best things to do is take a current owner / VCA member with you when you have decided on a car. Do a search, it should turn up everything you need.
In 1997, I vacationed in Maui for my 5th wedding aniversary. When I got to the hotel they had all of these brochures in the corner by the front desk. Low and behold "Rent a Viper" was at the top (So how many of you rented that Yellow RT-10 in Maui?) I took that car all the way around Maui...
Depends where you bought it I guess. I just purchased a t-56 from a guy who bought it from a R&D shop. It's a 2000, brand new, never had a vin punched into it. This may be your case. I'm sure you've done your homework on the trans and it is a true t-56, etc.
Alex, We all start somewhere. Some of us have it handed to us and others "make it happen". Also, for all of those who want to have a car like this or have ANY other "GOAL" no matter what the costs may be, it all comes down to one simple saying, it's not how much you make, it's what you save...
I actually had this piece made out of hardened stainless when she first posted it. It works but it won't stop someone from poping it open if they really want to get under the hood. Here's why.
1) The handle is plastic and can be bent or cut off.
2) The piece has to be made perfectly to remove...
So THATS what that black blur was on Golf road last night.... How many times did you end up purging last night? Did you go through a whole bottle......

Boy, the Boxster board is strict. You can't even have your company name, web address at the bottom of ANYTHING you post. Tried to post a couple of times only to have it yanked....I was nice too....thank god for the viper board!!!!!
O.k. I'm far from being a pro but I learned a lot since I took my snake to the track for the first time last Friday. My best was a 12.08 @ 113 after 8 runs. Here's some things that I've learned aside from John b's post:
1) Always shift into 4th at the end of the track. I have a slow mph on...

Chuck, So does it work normally now? It could be several things. I replaced my drivers side window motor myself (posted it too). It could be:
1) Loose track.
2) Worn motor.
3) The cables could be kinked somehow.
4) Your weatherstriping that runs the side of the window is coming loose and...
I think I figured it out. My last run I thought was the best because I hit 4th nice and clean at the end. That's when I had the 118mph. All of the other runs have a low MPH due to me not going into 4th, hitting the rev limiter and coasting through the last 50-100 feet or so. Here's the...
At first I wasn't and I would hit the rev limiter about 50 feet before the end. The wierd thing was that MOST of my mph's were low.113.9,112.8,114.9,115.1,118.2,112.5,112.0. The 118.24 had a 12.117 1/4 mile.
Thanks to all who made it to DA GROVE in Wisconsin today. It was my first time and I had a blast. It was a nice cool day too (55 degrees). Headwind wasn't that great but we all lived with it. I ran the snake 8 times. All of them were within 1-2 tenths of each other. Here was my best run...
