It's just a Dodge the same way the Corvette is a Chevy. There are no exotic reliability problems. It will be good to get a car with an extended warranty. I have a 96 GTS and my only dealer problems have been ac leaks and window tracks. But, It'a a five year old car

Good luck on your purchase. You must join the VCA upon consumation! Since you've been on the board awhile you have probably seen suggestions to utilize the search key, another good idea. I punched in pros and cons and got this selection to choose from:

The Viper experience is every bit as great as you imagine, just go for it!

One of the best things to do is take a current owner / VCA member with you when you have decided on a car. Do a search, it should turn up everything you need.

Since you're coming from a car with power windows, you may want to avoid '92-'96 Roadsters ... as they had the quirky side curtains.
'96 through present coupes and '97 through present roadsters all had power windows.
