Re: 19
I ended up getting Pirelli Rosso in 295/30/19 and 355/25/19 per John Purner's recommendation. I am told that both front and rear DO NOT have the red marking. I will confirm by Friday afternoon.
Quick update: I spoke with Tire Rack and he was mentioning that the 295 and 355 Rosso are only available in black. Furthermore, the only 285 Pirelli makes is 35 series which is too tall for our application. Am I missing something?
Thanks
Bwhitemore - wow, thanks for the info! I never realized that there was a difference. I will find out if the 285's are back in stock.
Mike - no, thank YOU for buying my wheels. I am sure you will be 100% happy. And if you don't mind, I would like to wait for the 285's to come in rather than...
I am getting ready to get my new wheels with Pirelli P-zero rosso 295x30x19 in front and 355x25x19 in rear. Does anyone have same if not similar setup? How does Pirelli compare to Micheline's ? I really wanted Michelines b/c they are cheaper and have better wear rating but couldn't find the...
First off, what does wheel hop sound like? I am also noticing loud pop/wheel hop while accerlerating hard. It has definitely gotten worse with brand new tires and colder weather. Anything I should be worried about? I replaced my tranny mount 2 months ago and surely it's another broken...
Thanks for the replies.
Y2k5SRT - yep, I will give you credit for converting me from the darkside. Sorry haven't been attending any of the events. I was stuck in Germany for work for over year and now I have moved to Chicago. Did you not get that frozen pizza I sent from munich??? :laugh...
This may be a stuid question but is there such thing as being too cold to drive your Viper? It's been hovering below freezing in the KC area with no precipitation. I drove to work with no issues. I drove my vette in snow even so I doubt that this would be an issue for the Viper.
I know it's on a Supra but I belive there will be a fitment for a Viper. I am begging John to produce in 20" but nothing has been happening and he doesn't know when it will be completed...

Who was the lucky guy that got the car? IMHO, you had one of the best looking Viper on the forum. Man, I would have loved to bought the rims from you :(
Sounds like various different things can cause loud clunk. Mine happened to be broken transmission mount. Luckily, they had the part in stock and got it done in 10min. No more noise.
Thanks again for everyone's help!
Greetings,
I have been hearing a loud clunk in the driveline when I aggressively downshift from 3rd to 2nd. It sounds like a freaking fire cracker going off in the rear. There is no visible crack or twist in the drive shaft. I took the car to a local dealership. They had the car for 2 days...
