GTS234. I bought mine from a speedshop in Texas. The fitment wasn't too bad. The hardest part was cutting out the factory cats. I bought the Roe HF which came with band clamps to tighten onto header pipe. I did get some exhaust leak so for the time being I am using exhaust tape. I am...
I have the yellow MGW grippers - however, I did notice that these were coming loose after awhile. I am planning to contact George regarding this and whether locktite would help.
Dave - thanks for the reassuring words. I am with you that I am certainly not going to let this bother me. Heck, that's why god gave us extended warranty ;)
I guess my biggest concern was doing damage by forcing it into 1st gear but as you suggest, I will shift into other gears and then...
I have the new system and it is quiet. Don't get me wrong it's still louder and deeper than factory and muffler delete. However, I tend to think getting it any louder would drive you mad while cruising. I spoke to Borla and they told me if I wanted louder that I would simply remove the rear...
Update - took it to the dealership and had one of the tranny guys drive the car. Verdict - it's normal. ha, what's new.
Anyway, I am thinking about changing out the fluid to see if that helps. I doubt it as the trouble I am having - comes and goes - is that while shifting to 1st from a...
Greetings,
I know this was discussed before but is it true that you cannot control temperature when you have it on A/C or Max A/C? At least on my 2002 GTS, the air conditioning is always cold and have to switch it to vent to warm it up a bit.
Thanks
Bruce - wouldn't bad synchro pretty much prevent you from shifting into that particular gear? I just came back from another drive and the car drives fine - ie. shifts easily into 1st but i know it will come back. Is it possible that certain parts of the synchro may be bad?
Thanks
This only occurs when the car is stopped. However, if I put the gear in reverse, it goes it very smoothly. It doesn't feel like the clutch. I can definitely feel something rubbing as I shift into 1st gear. Again, this does not happen all the time.
Thanks again for everyone's input
I belive it's normal for our cars to have some difficulty shifting into 1st and 2nd when the weather is cold but lately even during warm weather I am having slight difficulty getting it in the 1st gear. I have to somewhat force it into the gear and feels like something is either blocking or...
Thanks for the info. Looks like I am definitely the minority here. I do drive the car hard and wasn't sure if the dealer would tell me that it's normal...
So I guess there wasn't a TSB on oil consumption in 2001 and after years?
I have noticed that I am using at least a quarter of oil every 2000 miles on my 2002 GTS. Is this normal? I have been driving the car pretty hard but no tracking etc. What may be causing this? I see no visible oil leaks and etc.
Thanks in advance.
I tend to think we can put any 5" round fog/driving lights in there but I personally didn't want to deal with fabricating to make it fit. Needless to say, I end up putting out the cash for OEM lights - which are made by Hella for VW/Audi... The VW part noted above doesn't have the same...
Re: Black Logo\'s came in today (pics)
I am also thinking about doing black emblems. Do you guys think it's too much on a solid yellow with no other black color (ie., black rims etc) other than tinted windows?
Thanks!
In order to avoid breaking these expensive fog lights, is there some sticky plastic cover that we can put on to protect the glass? I know partsrack has a set that has headlights and fogs but wasn't sure if these were effective against rocks...
Thanks
i think i may have found something:
http://www.rpiequipped.com/store/c192200.2.html
Let's hope this is a direct replacement for VIpers. Plus, these are clear lens
Is it OK to drive the car without any lens? Could this be covered under warranty? I don't recall hitting anything and I wonder if this is some sort of defect in glass...
Thanks
Well my passenger side was cracked but now it finally shattered. Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative to paying $190 per lens??? Thanks in advance!!!
