I have 18"/19" Nitto NT-05s on my GTS. Very impressed so far, but I have heard some complain that they only come in 335s for the rears not 345. And the NT-05 is rated by Nitto as not as good in the wet as the Invo.
Remember: 1) I have two different sets of wheels and tires and it is the same with both which tends to eliminate tire balancing issues; and 2) it is smooth as glass coasting at 80 mph which really eliminates tires balancing issues.
Does the yoke on the rear of the transmission slide in? Or is...
Did some more seat-of-the-pants "testing" in light of DrumrBoy's comments. At 80 mph on smooth freeway, when I push the clutch in and coast the car is as smooth at butter. No vibration at all. But when I have the gas on and accelerate/decelerate above and below 80 mph by a few mph I have the...
We have a winnar! Watch it again. It is a classic: "WE HAVE A WALK-OFF!"
To keep this thread in line: I have to say I would be nowhere worthy in trying to set a fast time anywhere in any Viper. From guys who know, what kind of time can super-fantastic driving save ona 'Ring lap versus just...
"I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!" This post is about the ACR-X not the regular ACR.
Extra points if you can get the movie reference. Best comedy since "Caddyshack."
Hey I love Vipers. I OWN a Viper. If the ACRx gets around Nurbergring in 7:15 for less than a tenth of the cost of a unobtainable Ferrari that is a major accomplishment. But OMG would us Viper guys be loving it if the ACRX's meaningful new 5th gear meant a lot more time than we think and it was...
The Ferrari 599XX "production derived" race car (sounds an awfully lot like an ACRX) has run a 6:58.16 lap at the 'Ring. Come on ACRX!!

Jack the car up so both rear tires are off the ground. Then put it in neutral with the emergency brake off and rotate one wheel by hand. Count how many times the yoke going into the differential turns compared to one full turn of the wheel to figure out what gears are in the car. If you do have...
I replaced my driver's side hinge. Piece of cake since you can R&R the hinge with the door close but for a few bolts. Door was aligned better when I was done than before I started.
For the record, I have the exhaust in my side-sills wrapped in Cer-Wool ceramic fabric insulation (Roe does or used to sell this - I sourced it on my own). It is held on by twisted stainless wire. First, I never drive in the rain so no external moisture entrapment issues for me (given the heat...
Moved into my house 7.5 years ago. Had Sherwin Williams "Tile-Clad" product (two-part epoxy rated for auto traffic) put on the garage floor. It has been fantastic after lots of messy work in the garage. Much sturdier than the DIY products marketed for garage floors and it comes in any color you...
I started this thread, and now - against my pleas that it not - it has devolved yet again into a hatefest. I respectfully request that the mods close or delete this thread. I should have kept quiet and not given the immaculate crowd another platform. My bad and I apologize. Hang in there Harvey.
I projected it on the wall with an old-school overhead projector my Dad bought surplus at work for $5, outlined it in tape and pencil marks then filled it in and touched up the edges to make it clean.
