Question for you guys with 4 post lifts...

The extra rail and an extra row or two of panels to make the door run up near your 12' ceiling shouldn't add more than $200-300 to your install at most, and it will be well worth the money for the extra clearance. If someone is giving you the "you've got to have a different kind of garage door...

    Drag Radials

What he wants to know is whether a 315/35/17 drag radial will work on a 13" wheel. I would think it would be ok, but not having tried it, can't say one way or the other.

    Drag Radials

I think he must be talking about 17" BFG's--isn't the largest they come in 17" like a 305 or something?

    2001 engine upgrade

It would definitely be worth upgrading your lifters to some that won't bleed down like the stockers. They aren't too expensive, around $250-300.

    ROE S/C Pulley On 2001

Don't go higher than 5 psi and if you hear anything that even resembles pinging get out of it and have someone who knows what they're doing check out your tune. The cast pistons won't take any detonation.

My 9.85 pass from Bradenton has been backed up.........

I'm just mad because you won't come up here and teach me how to drive. :) And just in case anyone else reading this was wondering, Tony is my buddy, and he is one hell of a driver (obviously).

    Hence the word "auxiliary." ;)

My 9.85 pass from Bradenton has been backed up.........

If I were inclined to stir the pot, I might ask: Nitrous: Supplementary air, comes from an auxiliary tank you have to fill up. Methane: Supplementary fuel, comes from an auxiliary tank you have to fill up. Is there a difference in principle here? If I were inclined to stir the pot, that...

My 9.85 pass from Bradenton has been backed up.........

Tony, congrats on the great numbers. Wasn't your fastest non-nO2 pass prior to this like 10.4x at ~136? (Which as far as I know was the fastest non-nO2 stock heads/cam pass with a Roe blower) Have any of the Roe/heads/cam guys ever run faster than 10.1 at 141 w/o nO2?

Roe vs. Paxton/Vortech superchargers. Which is better?

Somehow I think I could make a better case for "broke" than a guy who flies his own plane and owns TWO Vipers. :D Personally I have no real interest in comparing the base kits because I don't think it's a contest, for a number of reasons. I'd buy the Roe every time. I even doubt you could...

Roe vs. Paxton/Vortech superchargers. Which is better?

Simmer down there my budget minded buddy before I have to serve a subpoena duces tecum or something on you! I wasn't talking about comparing base kits, which is why I said "without worrying about a lot of other factors"--meaning, forget about dollars invested, boost level, heads...

    Congrats Clayton Taul! 570rwhp/538rwtq-646rwhp/602rwtq

Hi Larry, and thanks! The car is doing really well so far. Call me next time you come through the area and maybe you can stop by and relax for a little while instead of working half the night!

    Rebuilding engine advice....

Larry, did the newer Vipers come with ARP rod bolts? I heard the stock rod bolts (at least on my '01) were made by ARP.

If I go for pre 2001 pistons

Factory forged pistons are pre-2000, not pre-2001. And you'd likely be better off, if you're going to go to the trouble of tearing the engine down, to use a better aftermarket piece. Most good aftermarket pistons are around $1k a set including rings.

Or even over 50 mph, in some cases. :) Your results may vary.

Roe vs. Paxton/Vortech superchargers. Which is better?

Cuda, you make some good points, but when comparing these setups head to head w/o worrying about a lot of other factors, I keep coming back to the fact that no Roe car has sniffed 9's without nitrous (that I am aware of), while several Paxton cars have run 9's on boost alone. That may change...

MAGNETIC Drain Plugs for SRT-10 Vipers now in stock!

So DC ditched the magnetic plug that the Gen. 2's had when they came out with the SRT's?

Who is Tony R? :) You better get some more sleep big fella. And yes I do know your philosophy having witnessed it firsthand.

    Rebuilding engine advice....

Adam, actually you can, but you'll need to at least bead-hone the cylinders so that the pistons will seat properly, and you will also have to very carefully clean up the bottom end of all the crud that gets there from the honing.

Can the National VCA help with this!!!!

Re: Can the Natl VCA get away with this!!!! Just a suggestion, but they might be a little more receptive to your plea if you would change the title of your post.

Roe vs. Paxton/Vortech superchargers. Which is better?

Mike, are you actually reading what I wrote? :) The Autorotor Roe uses is BIGGER (2.4 liter v. 2.2 liter) than the traditional Blowzilla (I have heard that KB has or will be coming out with a new 2.4 liter Blowzilla for the Mustang Cobra, but I'm not sure if it's out yet, and either way it...
