Does the 96 GTS have a forged bottom end?

Yes. And you don't really give up much in the way of improvements on the newer models, other than ABS, which was added in '01.

Orlando convention center:Viper wins best of show...Pics

Re: Orlando convention center Best of show pics Congrats Scott, that's awesome! :2tu: But it certainly doesn't surprise me as I know your work. BTW, I can't see your hands in that pic, and those girls are looking at you very intently, especially the one on the right. . . . .

Congrats Glen Jordan! SAE 617rwhp and 675rwtq

Brian remember that night in my garage when Larry slipped and said "yeah dude, uh, sir" to me? ;) Course it was about midnight and having worked about 42 of the past 48 hours I think he was pretty much shot.

    Looking for PCMs

Call Dan Cragin at DC Performance at 310-597-6295. He knows as much as anyone about these kinds of issues and has been involved in developing the prototype AEM units (which are supposed to come out shortly, but then again they were supposed to be out several months ago).

Lethal Sean Roe Engine Pics....Finally done

Looks great Dennis! The guy that made those valve covers really did a good job.

    Supercharger

Yeah, you're definitely off on the sounds. The Roe is basically silent (unless you're standing in front of 1Tony's car coming down the dragstrip anyway :) ), and the Paxton is like the other centrifugals, it makes a constant whistling sound that is more noticeable at idle than anywhere else.

Tires. And I don't know if the other goodies are secret or not. :) Hopefully the wheels will show up next week.

    Attention JonB

Thanks for the box of goodies! I don't know if this means I have attained elite customer status or that you are attempting to make amends with all your customers due to the recent rounding up scandal. Speaking of which, despite your kind and unexpected gesture, I have reviewed all my prior...

Does the 96 GTS have a forged bottom end?

All Vipers had forged internals through the 99 model year. 2000's and up have cast pistons.

Did Kumho come out with 18s

Ward, thanks for the opinion. I may just go with the BFG's anyway as I never drive the snake in the rain nor do I corner aggressively. What are people running on the front with the BFG's--Pilots, or BFG's on the front as well?

Did Kumho come out with 18s

Ward, let us know how they work. What was your opinion on the BFG's high-speed stability on the street in a straight line? I know this has been beaten to death, but the responses seem to always be either "Don't use them or you'll die" or "No problem at all." So JonB meant he could supply ONE...

Did Kumho come out with 18s

Well now that this option is on the table, I'll be the first to open the Kumho v. BFG debate--how would the two compare for straight line traction? (I know the Kumhos would be far better for taking corners). Are the Kumhos really that sticky, even for blower cars?

    Meguiars NXT

Does Meguiars advocate using a wax over the NXT? I didn't think it made sense to try to put wax over a polymer based product like NXT (frankly I would have thought it wouldn't really stay on the car either).

Has anyone done business with Mr. Viper “Eric Lee”

How can you take anyone seriously who calls themself "Mr. Viper?" Sounds about one step shy of Dom Deluise's Captain Chaos alternate personality in The Cannonball Run to me.

Center console cracking problem!! 2 vipers so far!

Many of them have been replaced under warranty, including mine. If you can't find a local dealer that is cooperative, call Chuck Tator.

My Bowling Green V-10 Nats. Experience

Victory Red (it's some limited edition color they're making 1,500 of, although I think it may be a regular production color for '05).

My Bowling Green V-10 Nats. Experience

Ah, an F250 isn't really that heavy. :) BTW, my H2 should be here in an hour or two. I'll send you a pic before the wife starts running over mailboxes.

In the final development stages of a new Viper product (all Vipers)....

Sean, quit teasing and put Dave on getting the intercooler in production. :)

My Bowling Green V-10 Nats. Experience

You're most welcome Brian; I'm just glad you had a great time, and I really wish I had been there. Oh, and thanks for showing me not to EVER remove the weight-distributing hitch--I'm just glad you were able to get her stopped!

    BG V-10 Nationals Official Results

Sounds like another great event--sorry I missed it. Hey, what's Cudaman done to his car? 144 mph is a good bit faster than he's ever run isn't it? Little shot of NOS, or methanol/water with the blower?

    VEC2 Installation Problems

Didn't you get some base cards with the unit? You should be able to use one of them until you figure out what the problem is with the one you programmed.

    Sean Roe after hours number?

If you haven't already done so, leave him a message at the shop. It's a rare weekend when Sean isn't working at least some of the time.

Roe S/C 148 mph on drag radials

Maybe no NOS but you can be sure there was some methanol involved. :) Awesome mph if true.
