I didn't go any faster wearing ORECA race suit (pics)!

Re: I didn\'t go any faster wearing ORECA race suit (pics)! Thanks for the link, Don. Nadine, it was a pleasure to meet you at VOI-6, will you be coming over the "pond" for VOI-7? Airbags, don't have any in the '94! Hope I never need 'em either, or find out how good the seat belts are in the...

Re: I didn\'t go any faster wearing ORECA race suit (pics)! OK Nadine, You have got to tell us how your accident happened! When did it happen, December? It sounds like it was totalled, because you took the insurance settlement. Please fill us in, I think many of us missed any post you may...

    Looking for Viper DVDs

Last year, if you renewed your VCA membership, you got a DVD free with the Viper commercials on it (Magic Carpet Ride), a great DVD, turn it up loud! You might want to contact the VCA in Farmington Hills, MI to see if it still might be avaialble. I think they sold for $15.00 at VOI 6 in St. Louis.

    Engine Rebuild

I'll let you know how strong the rebuild is, next spring! Engine just got back but, it is put away time for snakes here in Western Michigan. Engine probably won't go back into the snake until late March, early April now. Car is in our heated garage, but the engine is at the dealership, and...

    94 RT/10 Questions???????

Get that baby up on a lift and check for leaks from underneath. Check at the head gaskets especially. The coolant bottle should have a mark on it or a mark in the fenderwll, when you stick a light inside the fender after you remove the big rubber plug in the front of the fenderwell. There is...

    Dropping In The Arrow Rebuild!

Got a call yesterday as well that my Arrow rebuilt engine is back at the dealership! Just had some minor surgery today, and don't know when I will get the car back to the dealership now, looks like it might get snowed in for the winter, if my timing is off a bit. Somehow I just knew this might...

    96 RT/10. Is it a Gen.I or Gen.II engine? nt.

Slightly modded Gen 1 engine, 415 hp, older versions had 400 hp. I believe that the intakes went to smooth tubes and K&N filters in '96, thus the 15 hp increase.

    Engine coming back from Arrow!

Just got an e-mail from Arrow that my engine will be done by the end of next week, and then it will ship back to the dealer for re-installation! YAhoo! However, the break-in will have to wait until spring, won't bother to even try this winter! Still, great news, the block had to go back to the...

VETTE OWNER, FUTURE VIPER OWNER NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!!

Some Gen 1 engines (mine included) had some problems (1992- 1996) but, if you find one that has been rebuilt by Arrow, that's a keeper. It's not all of them that are that way either, as a matter of fact, the number is relatively low. Some of the newer ones, 1999? had piston problems, but keep...

    Aluminum Flywheel Questions

Thanks for the comments everybody. John, I'm still not sure one way or the other yet, but I will make my decision soon.

    Car Cover for RT/10?? Where?

Try your local Dodge Dealer, but if Woodhouse has em on backorder, then they are probably on backorder everywhere!

    Aluminum Flywheel Questions

My engine is in the rebuild process with Arrow, and now would be a great time to change the flywheel over to a high performance aluminum one. Just got a few questions for those of you that have made the switch over to an aluminum flywheel on your Viper now. 1) Does it really make a big...

Heya good old friends! Woodhouse does it again

Hey Layne, Great to hear from you, and also to find out that you got another Dodge! Hang in there, you'll be getting that RT (SRT now) before you know it! Have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year! You wouldn't happen to have a spare Calvin and Hobbes cartoon would you?

    THANKS ALL ! No, I mean T H A N K S !!

Jon B, Have a happy Thanksgiving, and I mean it! Don't know what a happy sled dog feels like, but I have had the good fortune to meet you at VOI-6. Remember, I was the "spinner" at Gateway on Saturday morning! Also wrote a poem about the Viper that you liked. Did you ever get to try that...

    Factory tour

Cudaman, you will absolutely love the tour of CAAP. It was a wonderful experience to go there last year in January with the Illinois and Indiana/Kentucky members. We had a great time, and we got a chance to pose with the 2003 Viper at the Detroit Auto Show besides. The workers take great...

What is the average time for an Arrow rebuild?

Tony, that's an offer I can hardly refuse! I am going to have to wait now, as I want to put it into its nice warm garage for the winter, once the heart transplant is completed. I want to let it rest until spring, then it will be "break in" time before VOI-7. Would imagine that you will be...

What is the average time for an Arrow rebuild?

Thanks for the info Tom. Glad to see that their turn around time is shorter right now. I might be able to get it back before the real snow flies. Will have to get a new clutch before it all goes back together too! Will it hurt not to start the car up during the winter months after the...

What is the average time for an Arrow rebuild?

My engine has been out of the car about two weeks now and off for a tour of Arrow Racing facilites ( I'd love to go there myself!). How long did it take for the rebuild process to happen from start to finish, for any of you who have had to have your engines rebuilt? Just curious to find out...

Hemi Viper, not Sir Hiss (pic)

Amen to the 727 Tranny. It is still a mainstay of drag racing for Mopars, it was and is about the strongest automatic transmission that was ever built. If it is set up properly, it can withstand gobs of horsepower, and just laugh at it. It was used behind the Hemi engines of the late 60's and...

What have you had to sacrifice?

I had to wait a lot longer to get our '94 than most of the posts above, these guys are mostly still in their 20's. We built up equity in our home, and that is how we were able to purchase the '94. Did I really give up anything to get it, not at the time, because the mortgage rates went down...

    O, what an empty feeling!

Now that the engine and tranny have been liberated so the engine can go back to Arrow for a rebuild, the engine compartment looks kinda empty, don't you think! Here's another view from the other side of the engine bay Oh well, at least I have a lot of space to do my detailing of the engine...

    VCA renewal ?

Did I miss something, or was the Indiana and Ky region left off the list too?

    Can you believe this guy

It's actually a fairly good review when compared to most. But I don't like to drive it in the city with our Viper either, too many pedestrians get strained necks from the gawk factor, HA!

Here's some VERY exciting news from DODGE! 100,000 mile warranty included!

Re: Here\'s some VERY exciting news from DODGE! 100,000 mile warranty included! Most makes are now in the same situation, all offer 0% financing for some amount of time. However, now DC has upped the ante by offering a longer service contract for free. Like Mark O said eariler, I see lots of...

    Help "LOUD" clunk....

Re: Help \"LOUD\" clunk.... Ron, I think this is "normal" for the Viper. As it heats up, and you will heat it up more if you are racing it than if you were just driving it on the street, the play becomes more noticeable. I noticed this more on longer trips where the heat soaks into everything...
