    question for enclosed trailer owners

Perhaps off topic from the OP's question.... There's no doubt under inflated tires are a big cause of blow-outs. However, my 1995 Haulmark has always had trailer tires...not truck tires. When I first got my trailer, a few folks suggested I take off the trailer tires and put on truck tires. At...

    Car duster help

Been using the dusters for 15 years....no problems. It's all about technique as said above. It's not for heavy soil...just dust...and these days...pollen.

    question for enclosed trailer owners

Depends on what you want to do with the trailer. Mine's just used for moving cars...so I don't need all the extra space for benches, etc. I bought my Haulmark 22' for my then Superbird and still use the trailer for other cars we still have. Be sure to go 8.5' wide. Alot depends on what you'll...

Why so many enthusiasts who own Vipers and not VCA members ?

I was a VCA member for years...and met some nice folks. Problem was, my region wasn't very active at the time...events were far away..and I just couldn't justify the expense of the membership any longer. I did do some local stuff...but for some reason...I often felt like the odd man out in the...

    Viper Cosmetics!

I think there's some confusion with the HID kits. Wattage is the brightness...not the color of the light. That will be a number like 3000, 4300, 6000, etc. Lots of good info at Daniel Stern lighting about HIDs. They put out more light...but not "better" light. Lots of guys say that no one...

We too made spacers to bring up that "loop" at the "floor" part of the jam.

    1996 RT Oil Filter Removal

I searched...and found little about the issue. Today, while changing the oil in the '96 RT, I had a heck of a time getting the filter out of the car. I had the car on the 4 post and jacked it up high enough to let the RF wheel drop...but could not get the filter out over the lower control arm...

K&N or other cold air intake, do they really fit??

Perhaps I'm missing something....but the original question as I understood it was about an ill fitting aftermarket piece or perhaps a better solution than stock. I answered with what I remembered and what I did. The unit AZTVR showed is for a Gen 3 or 4...I've installed those and that's not the...

K&N or other cold air intake, do they really fit??

In the Gen 2 hoods, with the airbox inlet right behind the NACA inlet, I can't imagine how much difference a cold air intake would make on IAT. (Perhaps a bigger difference on a Gen 1 hood without the NACA?) My point about the NACA was that it's not some sort of "ram-air" scoop.

K&N or other cold air intake, do they really fit??

I seem to remember that the K&N kits for the Gen 1 & 2 were more restrictive than the factory box. If memory serves me, there was a sharp bend on the intake tubes that was restrictive. On my GTS, I did the smooth hoses and K&N filters..then cut the rain baffle out of the airbox....riviting a...

    Gen II Seat cushion removal?

On a Gen two, the bottom of the seat and the backrest do separate. There are fasteners. I did it years ago. However, the actual leather cover is held in with hog rings. I'd strongly advise taking the seat out, and to an upholstery shop if you want the actual cover removed. Once the seat is...

I got a really good offer - Should I sell?

I'll also be a dissenting vote. I looked for a Gen 1 and wound up with a Gen 1.5 about two years ago. It seemed that all the low mileage Gen 1s didn't have A/C, which for me was a must. The cars I found (and I still browse) under $30,000 had lots of miles, a title issue, or mods that hurt the...

Gen II 18" Aluminum Wheel restoration help

Factory wheels are clear coated. I'd suggest using a mild polish for painted surfaces as you've likely damaged the clear coat. If its past the clear...then you may need to have it polished and cleared. When manufactured, the wheels were polished, cleaned of polishing compounds, then cleared...

    Quick 2001 GTS question.

Yeah...pulling the headliner stinks. I know alot of guys use the mirror mount, and I thought about it in my daily cars. I have the ScanGauge mounted above the rear view and V1s mounted above the mirror, too. When I tried mounting below the mirror...I didn't like the blindspot.

    1992-96 RT Hoodpads?

Thanks sfm79. I'm not sure what to do. When I stack the new number pad and my original 1996 RT pad...all the holes match...but obviously some sort of trimming or drilling will be needed to make this slightly different design pad fit. There are indentations and raised areas not on the original...

    DC Performance closed : <(

Dan, we never did business together...but you had done a considerable amount to my '96 RT before it came East to me. You were kind enough to take time from your day to talk to me about what was done, etc for the previous owner..and that meant alot to me. I wish you all the best.

    1992-96 RT Hoodpads?

Thanks guys... The big black molded pads started mid 1995...and my '96 came with one that I wanted to replace. They looked very similar...but not 100% (Earlier cars did have the big foil patch) Much...I'd be glad to see pics and will contact via PM. According to Chuck...there's only a few...

    1992-96 RT Hoodpads?

Well, even after comparing them from my 2000 GTS to my '96 RT....and thinking the hood pads are the same...they're not. Even the currently available pad says it fits 1992-2002 which is #048480204AC. According to my old parts book, # 5245781 is supposed to be the correct part...but supercedes to...
