I was honestly happy to see the link as my passenger side window is making some aweful noises so I haven't really used it. But seeing an available solution like that and seeing that there is works of an updated part makes me not worry as much. I'll just use my window til it breaks instead of...
Thanks for the ebay link. The only drag (since you like puns so much) is even with a lifetime warranty, you need to:
remove the part
pay shipping
hope the company stays in business
I would try to not drive it. The manifold and pre clog area exhaust gas temps will soar. I have seen manifolds (not on a Viper particularly) glow red hot. I personally wouldn't chance it. Park it until repairs are made.
You posted videos of one drag racing in the thread and I commented on your video. But it's cool we can direct the attention back to you :)
You seem to have a nice collection of toys and I sure of the the concerns the op wanted have been replied to anyways. The thread is derailing on is...
I agree with everyone on here. I never owned a lightning but friends have them do I have driven a couple. Is a totally different experience and feel.
If you want driving excitement the Viper will not disappoint. My suggestion. .. especially the first couple months of ownership...
I think I might find a set of stock wheels for probably how much money I would spend on the iforge matching rears.
I already ordered the 20 DRs also. So might as well use it and see how it does. I think at the power level I am at it will be fine.
They make a teflon paste also. Most of the threads on those fittings should be pipe thread. So as it tightens it seals. I think it says no tape as some over do it and the tape can cause a restriction or clog small oil passages if over applied.
If it's an AN pointed cone head on the end...
The mt in a 20 shows to be taller and narrower. That and my local wd is out of them otherwise it would be an obvious choice.
I think I am going to give the nt05r a try. Saw a couple Vette guys with them doing pretty well. 700 a pair compared to 700 per pirelli. If I get a summer out of it...
EEK. My passenger side window is starting to make some aweful noises. I guess I'll use it as little as possible. I feel that the released parts wont be available for another couple months. Even if a few are released, it should fill back orders first.
If it reads off the fronts, then how does the speedo work on a chassis dyno?
Also, I don't really care about the speedo being off. I was worried more about fitment and rubbing issues. If it fits and drives well (you know how vipers can be very "darty") then that's all I care about.
Also, I...
Actually. I thought about buying factory wheels. How much does a set go for these days? Anyone have any 03+ stock Viper wheels other than the h spokes for sale?
As far as the sizes being different. The mt 305 30 is listed as a taller tire than the 315 35 nt05r. Mathematically the 315 35...
Gave her a wash at the in-laws house
Put the baby seat in and took my 3 year old for a ride. I guess people lied. Vipers are tame enough for a 3 year old to fall asleep in. Top down and all
Well, they have a great 19" DR size the 345-30-19 but 20" goes a little narrow.... I guess some z06 guys use the 315-35-20 nt05R with good success. I wanted to see if any viper owners had tried it out first before buying a pair.
I saw this post and it might give you some insight on what exhaust/header/ecu will do

Dang, had a pretty decent post typed out and went to submit and it said token expired.
So redo!
Picked up a 2003 vert with a Paxton. Came with aftermarket 19/20" iforge wheel combo. Rear tires are down to the wear bars.
So with the extra power, I am really debating on going with a DR on...
Wow. I was looking and saw air fuel and didn't even notice it was a different graph :) Makes a lot more sense that it's graphing boost on analog 1.
I know all about FMU and booster pump setups. Coming from tuning Hondas, I always laugh when someone brings in a JRSC (roots blower) on a Honda...
BTW. Looking at the 650 whp dyno... the AFRs is like 9:1 and richer. Sheesh, that's rich as heck. You didn't want to mess with the split second timing/fuel controller to lean it out a bit?
