How to purge the coolant ????
Use distilled water and any quality coolant with sufficient silicates for aluminum engines. Most on the market now are fine, given the number of aluminum engines out there. Then to purge air, may I selfishly recommend: http://www.viperclub.org/news/bleedersannouncement.html- kverges

Thinking about racing (yes, racing) the Viper - Advice?
You should contact Bobby Archer in Ft. Worth and others who race, in order to get an idea of budget and preparation. If "race" means wheel-to-wheel to you, you MUST have a roll cage and harnesses, at a minimum. If you want to club race, you are limited to T1 in SCCA and NASA or Viper Days...- kverges

Ready to buy tires and rims!
IMO, unless you want to change cosmetics (appearance) or dimensions (width or diameter or weight), you are wasting a large amount of money to "upgrade" wheels. If you want to upgrade performance, then you will have to add tires to the equation, as the stock tires will not fit upgraded wheels...- kverges

Need Replacement O Ring for my Stock Prop Valve: Lessons in Brake Modification (long)
For one-wheel lockup, I would check corner weights, too. I used to have a similar problem in my RT/10 and no more due to coil-overs and precisely-set corner weights. Check engine with skipshift mod
The light goes on because the PCM self-tests and sees an open circuit where the solenoid should be. 8 hours for an alignment!?!?!?
That's a bit much, but remember it really requires a 4-wheel alignment. You really want to be sure everything is square and true in addition to setting caster, camber and toe. Also, if you need an alignment due to any frame tweek, well the time can be more significant. Figure about 4-6 hrs...- kverges

HELP - my '01 is blowing blue smoke!

Very alarming, but the car used virtually no oil, had good power, and has not done it in the past 1000 (post break-in) miles. I say just watch your oil...- kverges

Why the personal attacks in a technical discussion? In principle, brakes are simple hydraulic systems transmitting the master cylinder piston pressure to the caliper piston. Coil Packs
Static resistance is only part of the equation; although I suspect it is not spec'd, the ratio of primary/secondary turns on the coils will give an indication of the voltage step-up. Also, the inductance may be significant, too and would be interesting to know. Let us know what coils you find...- kverges

New cooling system mod possible?
Rob, What you suggest is easy! The schrader insert can be easily unscrewed - one of the caps doubles as the tool. Then you can attach a hose to the fitting easily. That's exactly how I top off the cooing system.- kverges
