Need assistance checking out a car in the Indianapolis area

Thanks guys, that is the car in question. After reading the above posts from NEED4SPEED and BRUTUSBUCKEYE, I called my Dodge dealer, ran the vin (again), and learned NEED4SPEED was exactly right. I don't know why I didn't pick that up the first time, but the car was scheduled to go to Palmer...

Need assistance checking out a car in the Indianapolis area

I just put a deposit on a '01 RT/10 contingent on a good inspection. I need someone that can check out the car for me, or give me the name of a Dodge Dealership with a good Viper tech that can do the inspection. I plan on driving out there next Monday the 21st, close the deal on Tuesday...

Came across a good buy on a GTS

While searching for my next Viper (looking for a ’99 to ’02 RT/10), I responded to an ad for a car that turned out to be a GTS. After talking to the owner, I realized this would be a good deal for someone in the market. The car is a ’01 GTS red w/Silver Stripes, 20K, miles, and is stated to be...

    Towing questions

I connect the straps straight in front and cross in rear. That makes it easier to disconnect the front due to the low clearance under the facia. Also Jon B posted a long time ago that it was safer to do it that way...don't ask me why.

Autolifters 4 post lift, any good ? Hows the pricing ?

Based on the recommendation of Joseph Dell, I just had installed in my garage the Pro-Park 7 four post lift from these guys: http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/ $1995 included lift, jack tray, 3 drip trays and casters. Shipping to Baltimore terminal was $225.00. I picked it up at the trucking...

    '99 RT10 on Ebay

Re: \'99 RT10 on Ebay My experience was just the opposite. I called Mike on the 99 RT/10, left him a voice mail, and he never returned my call. I placed a second call to the dealership, talked to another salesman, he said he would get some information for me and call me right back. Never...

Which 4 post lift for storage ?

I ordered mine today. After several weeks of research, I came to the conclusion that the Pro-Park 7 was the best deal, without sacrificing quality and safety.

Question for you guys with 4 post lifts...

Since I won't be stacking with an SUV, I think I'll go with the 116" clearance option. I like the idea of using a creeper chair. Thanks all, for great input.

Question for you guys with 4 post lifts...

I'm thinking about getting a four post lift in my garage. The garage door company I use can get the rails to 10' 2" off the ground, making the lowest point of the door 116" from the floor when it is raised. This should probably stack two cars, but will it allow me a resaonable clearance to...

    Easier clutch?

I agree, you need to have it checked out. In each of the 3 vipers I have had, the clutches have all been very easy. If you want to see what a hard clutch is, try one of the old big block vettes. Whenever I drive my brother's '66 427, I feel I've been through a real work out. Once I pulled down...

They had that car on their web sight last week for $39,900, advertised as an Internet Special. Paolo found too many problems with the car for me to have any interest, at any price.

Need assistance checking out a car in the Chicago area

Well, I've talked to Paolo several times in the past couple of hours, he called me from his cell phone while he was inspecting the car. Jay, you're right on about Paolo's enthusiasm, and I couldn't have gotten a better critique. Anyway, I am passing on the car, Paolo found way too many...

    Warranty Question

Your factory warranty is based on three years or 36,000 miles from the in service date of the car. The in service date is usually the date that the original owner buys/takes possession of the car. Unless the original owner bought the car from the dealer within the past three years, the...

Question for 1996 (White) RT/10 owners: RE: Rims

I remember when I had my white RT/10, I changed from stock pads to Bendix Pads, they worked great, and my brake dust was reduced by about 75%. I still had to clean them but not nearly as often.

Viper Parking at Formula 1 Race This Year

Steve - I, for one, would be really interested. I plan to come next year from Baltimore. If you can arrange, say, a Friday and/or Saturday eve mini-show, and dinner, and parking for the race on Sunday, I would be happy to put up the required $$. It would be really great if we could get tickets...
